As long as you're still paying attention and can take over quickly in an emergency, I don't see any problem with self-driving cars. I already love how cruise control makes long trips on highways so much easier, so I would definitely love have a self-driving car since it would make driving long distances for long periods of time a lot more enjoyable haha

In Sweden we do trade school in high school and it’s free. The last three years of high school we choose a “major” my sister wanted to be a hairdresser for example so she had classes where she learned how to cut hair, doing perms etc theoretic classes like math and English is still mandatory though. The idea is that when you finish high school you will be ready to work.

to be fair, kids at that age will severely ridicule you for wearing a blue shirt with white stripes, or wearing a ribbon in your hair. It's how people begin to develop self-worth and emotional strength that isn't paper thin.

ESPECIALLY when she is being falsely accused of being a gold digger, she has a right to tell the truth and say "No, I contribute more to the household than Husband does". And it doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility that there is a correlation between Husband's lack of transparency regarding his relationship with OP to his kids and their continued shitty treatment of her. Maybe if they learned that OP wasn't necessarily a gold digger who took advantage of their well-off grieving father and instead a supportive partner who helped to keep him afloat after his wife's death left him in debt, they'd have a more balanced opinion of her. (Or, maybe they're still not able to think past their grief yet.)

If the daughter is fourteen, I'd say to talk with her about the situation. She should be capable of making rational decisions at that age. By the time I was that age (thirteen years ago) I would have been fully capable of making my own breakfast at a sleepover with a friend, and had some so several times, though granted I didn't have any food allergies. But simply put, at that age, I would include the kid in the conversation, not just make the decision for them. Now, if they're being an idiot I might override them.

I would have labeled all these people as good apples, honestly. 1. I would not put up with being called a gold digger, and would not spare my husband's feelings to put up with it.
