I wondered what it would have been like if they'd used Archer's theme. It wasn't the first time they changed themes. Star Trek: The Next Generation had an alternate main title that is more or less considered Picard's theme. It was included on the "Encounter at Farpoint" soundtrack album. Oh, and with Enterprise using "Faith of the Heart", retitled "Where My Heart Will Take Me", they didn't even use Rod Stewart. Russell Watson performed the version used on Enterprise.

This was written by Composer for the opening credits of the series, but "The Powers that Be" wanted a song to appeal to the "Kids" and I'm told they spent a small fortune to purchase this song from the writer. However when they were posting the second episode Dennis asked if they could use it for the End Credits and the producers were fine with that. I love this tune..

With how perfectly it lines up with the visuals, this had to have been meant as the theme before someone went "what if we use Faith of The Heart?" I'm guessing it was another decision in line with trying to distance Enterprise from Star Trek at first, like how the first season or two was just called "Enterprise", not "Star Trek Enterprise".

Not a good idea. What was he thinking, endorsing such an inappropriate song for the opening! Especially compared to the great compositions by Alexander Courage, Jerry Goldsmith and Dennis McCarthy. I didn't want to continue watching the series at the time because of that song, and many others probably didn't either. The poor ratings of the series are probably also due to this song. Because the series itself is very good and a feast for all fans, as far as stories and references to the original series are concerned!

If they could figure out how to do this deliberately, then they could make infinite clones of people. You could take the greatest soldiers, artists, and scientists in the world and just keep creating copies whenever you need to, sure it could get out of hand if you let it, but, if you were disciplined about it then you could do some great things. You could save the patterns of all of the greatest minds in history, then whenever you have a problem you just create a copy of all of them, put them in a room together until they solve it. You could also use it to make countless beautiful women whenever you need to.
