      Thanks for joining the conversation. The Colonial Militias and Minute Companies would have used a variety of arms depending on where they were. By far the most common weapon would have been the Long Land Pattern British Musket (also called First Model Brown Bess today). But you would also have found long rifles in the Mid-Atlantic Backcountry and a mix of English, Dutch, Spanish and French trade guns, fowlers, and muskets. We can document that blue painted English trade guns were taken out of the Williamsburg Magazine in 1775. This mix of weapons and calibers was one of the challenges faced by the Continental Army early in the war. Sourcing lead balls for weapons that ranged from around .50 caliber to over .80 caliber was a logistical nightmare. Let along making cartridges for the battlefield.

    As far as the pictures that you depict of Europeans colored as black people? The third president of the United States of America Thomas Jefferson declared that all indigenous people living in the state of Virginia at that time as Negroes the word negro is a Spanish word that means black person it's time to tell the truth now it's okay

    Canadian here. You did NOT win the War of 1812 ! If you did, your country would be known by a different name. The United States of NORTH America ! The war ended in a draw. The last land battle of this war was the Battle of Fort Bowyer in what is today Alabama, which was won by the British on February 12, 1815. The British were not trying to reconqueror the United States. They were trying to stop the Americans from migrating westward by giving a large slice of land stretching from the Canadian border to the Gulf of Mexico for their Indian allies. The British occupation of Hampton, VA. lasted one day ! It was French troops fighting with the British that went beserk, raping and robbing in Hampton ! They were quickly returned to the British ships and made to stay there ! Also, after the War of 1812 British and Canadians also built fortifications to protect our country against another land attack by you Americans. Canada got peaceful independence on July 1, 1867 but the last British troops did not withdraw from Canada until March, 1906.

    Why in the world would anyone that has a sane mind even consider becoming a cop? I've watched plenty of body cam videos to know that the law enforcement profession is not considered an honorable and respectful job. You would have to be a lunatic to even consider wanting to become a peace officer nowadays. As a matter of fact, there are a lot of CZcams channels dedicated to exposing corrupt cops who don't know what the rights citizens have in America. The majority of cops do not even know the laws in this country and don't honor their oath to protect our constitutional rights. They are uneducated and under trained thugs I highly recommend everyone reading this, do a search here on CZcams for any of the following CZcams channels. That way you'll become more aware of the tyranny we're dealing with in this country. Take a screenshot of this list of CZcams channels, and visit each and every one of them so you'll be better educated. 1. Audit Archive 2. The Civil Rights Lawyer 3. Shields of Shame 4. US - Corrupt Cops 5. Dirty Cops 6. Brutal cops

    With all due respect THANK YOU!!!! For this video... Yet so many facts that are unknown... From my research most pirates were at war with the colonial forces/the state and slave owners. Black Bart was actually a Black man/navigator from Europe. Most history about pirates excludes slave ship rebellions. Its not a mutiny these slave /pirates have stole a colonizer's ship and without question are some of the bravest of all pirates. The freedom fighter "Pro Se" lawyer Sengbe Pieh (Cinque) of The Amistad uprising(1839) Stole the ship went to the supreme court WON and returned to Africa. The little George uprising of (1730) was well documented by the captain who speaks about the pirates ingenuity...

      @kristopherpeters6703 Před 3 měsíci

      Thanks for joining the conversation. You are correct. At the beginning of the revolution the most common weapon on both sides would have been the Long Land Pattern British Musket. The "Short Land Pattern" British Musket that I used in the video was only introduced to the British Army in 1768 (or there abouts). So when hostilities broke out in 1775 this weapon had only been in service for about 7 years. Most of the American troops would have had Long Land Pattern Muskets, or their own personal fowling pieces. With a mix of surplus Dutch, French, Spanish and "Indian Trade" Guns.
