@@DIYDollArtist sorry I guess I should’ve mentioned the hospital I was talking about was the Madame Alexander Doll Club Greta was the head of it and worked at it for 50 years so she has a story or two tell about being there.

We found it at a Five Below store. They had a few different ones all Disney themed. It is actually for a cell phone, so perhaps if you look on the internet for a cell phone umbrella you might find one you like. I never knew there was such a thing as an umbrella for a cell phone but there is.😂🥰

I am so happy you enjoyed the video! We wanted to share the beauty of where we live with our viewers who are all over the world. That is a funny thought to have viewers all over the world. I am not sure if we will do any more videos like this it depends on if the viewers liked it. We have covered bridges were we live but not many of them are still used. This one was a complete surprise as we were following the GPS to a store we had never been to before. What a treat! The Ginny is one of the older ones and she is complete with root beer eyes. We were not expecting to find a doll like her but you never know what you will find.When I was a girl I dreamed of having clothes for my dolls. I had one Ginny who I still have but she only had the outfit she came in. I suppose that is why I love finding accessories for them, old or new. Thank you so much for the support it means so much. we are so happy you enjoyed the scenery! Thank you for joining us on our road trip .It’s great that you got to visit here a couple of years ago. I wish it hadn’t rained🙁. we will try to in the fall but not alway do we have the color showed in photos. what kind of fall we have depends on what kind of spring and summer we have. I always feel sorry for people that come for the color. sometimes it’s earlier than normal or later or even not much of anything. There is no way to predict whether it will be a great fall color or lousy🤔. we are really happy you enjoy the little scenes because that’s why we do them.🥰

so happy you liked the road trip! the little doll I got for myself was the way I was dressed as a little girl and I was lucky that my daughter s loved it when I dressed them that way too. Ruby Sue was a gift from a very dear friend . so she had become are mascot . you’re right we would be in a pickle if we really relied on her for help. but we know that there are a lot of people that really enjoy her. so she has her work cut out for her. she needs to keep being cute and so does Evie.😂🥰❤️

I understand about finding places to find dolls. there’s only a few available here but you have to drive hours and you can never guarantee that when you get there you will ever find even one doll. Also i LOVE madame Alexander dolls, I just think they have really good quality and are some of the only people now days making dolls like they used to or at least they did up to the 90’s I think. I’m still hoping to find a Madame Alexander cissy doll from the 50’s.

The owner sent the doll with the crack to be used for parts. but that gave us the opportunity to try and repair her . we didn’t know if we could b us had an idea and tried it. Hurray it worked ! Now more doll won’t end up in the trash!😁🥰❤️

I will try to answer your question because it is a bit difficult to answer without seeing the doll. I will try to explain . I assume you watched the restringing video and you saw the sizes I used. But a doll of that height could be much thinner or wider that would effect what size bands to use. I ran into that problem on another Ideal p 90. I used the exact same bands I do for that size and type of dolls. but she was loose . They made the later Toni’s a bit smaller they also gave this one longer S hooks . so I had to give her small s hooks to make the proper band fit. On a bigger toni I use 2 big bands but it depends on the shooks and the width of the doll wether to use a medium or the next size smaller to string the arms. You can see that there are several factors that effect the choice of which size bands to use. The only thing I can suggest is to have extra s hooks on Hand and have 3 to 4 sizes of bands . With the heights you mentioned . From the vender we buy the lot of 50 and the sizes we get are the 3 largest sizes . but if you have narrow dolls the Next size down might be helpful as well. I’m so sorry it couldn’t be a more simple answer. Each doll that we restore has it challenges. Because little changes in this or that and then you just have to find a solution. I hope this help a little but wish it could have been more.🤔🥰

Thank you so much, yes I am very blessed. I did not even realize how much I had always wanted the doll from the book until I opened her and was in shock. My daughter kept her transformation of the doll secret so I did not have any idea what I was opening. My birthday was in March, thank you for the birthday wishes, the birthdays of my family members are always remembered and cherished. The doll is a vintage Ideal Toni doll, my daughter and I restore them along with other types of dolls and toys. This doll is P91, 16” tall from the early 1950’s and was in great need of restoration when we got her. The Toni doll came in several sizes 14”,16”, 17”, 19”, 21” and 22.5”. The 17” and the 22.5” are very rare. I am so happy you enjoyed her, I am over the moon in love with her and just wanted to share her with everyone that cares about dolls. My daughter says that if it made me happy for even a second then it was worth all the effort. It will always make me happy because of the love that she put into it. 🥰

We are so happy you enjoyed seeing her. There was so much to say and share that it was difficult to keep it to one minute. But since she made her outfit, and her tiny book to surprise me it wasn’t filmed. So, the next best thing was a short. She had to figure out how to miniaturize the pages of the book and print them in the correct order. She wants to continue learning how to make the shoes as it can be expensive buying shoes for dolls that need to be fully restored. A outfit can be made, but shoes are usually something you have to buy. So happy you enjoyed her!🥰

Thank you, she and my daughter are precious to me. She has always tried to surprise me on birthdays, Christmas and even just a trip to town. If I wasn’t feeling well she would bring me something that would make me smile and brighten my day. She was what really brightened my day and still does. We are blessed to have each other. I have one beautifully made wig from Georgette Bravot which I have been marveling at. It is constructed so perfectly. Wig making seems like a challenging skill to learn. @@DIYDollArtist It's not that cold normally in Sydney, but this year is colder than the other two winters I've experienced here. We live in the Blue Mountains just outside of Sydney. It's really beautiful here, but it's difficult to get used to winter in June, July and August and BBQs for Christmas!
