The Blind Side, the accident scene
zhlédnutí 6MPřed 14 lety
Ne-am adunat astazi aici ca sa dezbatem o problema de maxima importanta, anume comportamentul doamnei Leigh-Anne Tuohy dupa accidentului suferit de cei doi fii ai sai, cel vitreg si cel natural. Trecand peste exagerarile emotionale ale momentului, pe care multi regizori le-ar fi amplificat telenovelistic (par smuls, unghii sfasiind caldaramul, ochi dati peste cap etc) eu cred ca scena este dest...

    She was actually right in saying it’s not his fault. The other guy went into traffic at a not safe opportunity. Now, should he have been paying attention better, sure. But other than that, he did nothing wrong

    Anytime you hear the phrase, "You don't have to share blood to be family," this scene is a perfect example of that. Michael protecting his brother and Leigh Anne looking for both her sons

    I myself was in a riding accident. I'm starting to wonder if I'm a bad person. See, I'm so mad at the chef at my job, it felt so good when she saw me suffer. See, she'd taken me to my boss's office--with the both of them--and told me that I've been touching my coworkers too much ( casually, on arms or shoulders). I was always very outgoing and tactile at work. She told me that we need the workers to be comfortable in a good work environment. That I shouldn't talk about anything other than work and school or tell my stories, because they may be inappropriate or upsetting (can't remember her exact words) to others. Now yeah, I pretty much didn't have a filter, but I don't think I said anything _horrible._ I only meant to have fun with my crew. I really didn't get specific information from the chef about subjects and references. She even said "touching anyone without consent," which of course, made me feel like a creep and pred ator. I'm not. I made some mistakes that I own, but she made me feel humiliated and disrespected. She even said, "Is there anything you want to add?" to my boss. I deserved better than all this. Then that day, after work, I got into a severe biking accident. Got scraped and injured, and I screamed so loudly in agony and bIood. The chef, who happened to be there, was horrified. And here's the thing. Despite the severe pain I was in, there was room for me to savor the _chef's_ pain. Somewhere in me, I was so happy that she saw me get hurt. It was my medicine to partly get through the pain. I felt awful on the outside, and great on the inside--both, somehow fitting in there together. And...I just don't care how she feels. I think she deserved to see me suffer and suffer herself. I know that's wrong, but I only feel this spite towards her and my boss (who heard about the accident and feels awful too). For anyone else, _of course_ I wouldn't have relished their torturous concern. But you know, the two women didn't handle the work situation so well. It's okay to casually touch people on occasion; the chef didn't have to make it all-or-nothing. And my boss didn't have to have us in her office. Only one of them, in the hall for example, would've been enough. I needed some patience, understanding, and respect. So given the context and how I feel about the two women, am I a bad person?

    Michael was paid $138000 for the rights to make a movie about his life. The movie made $309200000 so he only 0.04% of the profits from the deal his "parents" negotiated without his consent about his life story, which was doctored for the movie claiming he couldn't read or write etc and failed to mention he was already an All American.

    • @harrynutzach307
      @harrynutzach307 Před 4 měsíci

      Wait... you think the movie netted $309M in *PROFITS* ??? 😄😆🤣 It didn't even *gross* $309M. $309M is what it took in at the *box office* . Don't you realize that theaters in US keep half of that money? Foreign theaters keep like 70%-80% of the box office take. Then there's tens of millions in marketing costs, distribution costs, etc. Haven't you ever heard of movies that made tens of millions at the box office and were still financial losers? And you said it all right there... "Michael was paid $138000". That's $138000 more that his sworn legal document said he made.... his August petition claims he made NOTHING from the movie. He LIED.

    • @harrynutzach307
      @harrynutzach307 Před 4 měsíci

      @@goodshipkaraboudjan Of course you did. Read your OWN comment: _"... he only 0.04% of the _*_profits_*_ from the deal his "parents" negotiated.."_ $138K is 0.04% of $309M So you were DEFINITELY suggesting that the movie made $309M in NET profits. Not that any of this nonsense matters, because the Tuohys have the paper trail of evidence proving that he was paid his equal share. They sent him TEN checks over the years. Why did he LIE and say he received nothing?
