Haha altho many in the video are Asian, it’s def not a pre-requisite to get into Google ;).

Best computer desk and set up
Thank you Google I want come Google biznes
why they all look so nervous and sipping tea or something?
Haha interesting observation! Well I guess they are engineers and most are not used to being on camera :)
All asian-american?!? 😮
Not all are if you watch the entire video ;)
This is Google. Now imagine working at Apple. Insane.
By insane, do you mean higher pay :)?
leetcode is useless and only people that do not know how to interview ask it
I have a question is 200k - 250k dollars for a year or a month? i honestly dont know i might even ask a stupid question, but pls reply
It’s per year!
@@FinanceWithChi Yeah, now i get it, i asked because i wanted to work with google.. well there are years to come since now, im only 13 years old, who wants to work as a software engineer.. the only problem is that im not that good in maths, but ill try to improve!! Thanks for replying! Subbed!
@@OrigamiSpotLikeSubSharesoftware engineering requires coding, not maths
@@McFlashh but, we should be good at maths ig..
I am not sure why people are obsessed about working for google.. it is just a company and to them you're a dispensible employee. The funny thing also is that these obsessed ppl have no idea what google actually does
99% of the obsessed people may have no clue, but the top talented software engineers definitely know why they want to work at Google and 'what Google actually does'. Compensation is definitely a point, but also technology, work environment etc.
100%!
How much salart as a mete employees
Do you mean Meta salaries? Good news I already posted another video about that. Check out my Tech video series!
My motivation is burning🔥🔥🔥
Glad it motivates you!!
very diverse group............ of asians
Not by choice :). I definitely wanna be able to interview more folks of all groups!
Ask people what they make. Not “what someone can expect”.
Good suggestion! I asked this tho and most would not want to be recorded :(
I make $uck
I make $uck
Can you actually ask people what they make rather than asking “what’s a salary someone could expect?” Terrible answers that are vague.
We tried, but most people would not want to provide an answer when they’re asked that. We can ask this again in next videos!
Can i get contact of meta employees cuz i need help @@FinanceWithChi
Just kidding, idk if Amazon pays more or less
You can look it up on levels.fyi!
She forgot to ask if google pays better than amazon but yea it seems like it 😂
Based on info in the video, what do you think 😉?
Why are most software devs asians and Indians? Of course they are smart but also driven to succeed either because of their background or for the love of supporting their family back home
Interesting observation. FYI I also met non-Indian/Asian devs. But not many were willing to be interviewed on camera.
The pool of Indian/Asian engineers is huge compared to American engineers. I think a ratio of 10-20:1. So naturally most top talented software engineers come from Asia or have Asian background.
150k ? Are u kidding me ? I know someone fresh grad from school master degree from one of the uc and total comp is 300k a year
Yeah unfortunately pay gaps exist. That’s why I advocate for salary transparency and negotiation
I’m seeing only Asias, probably they weren’t born in USA . What happened to USA youth/ black youth?
I interviewed anyone who’s willing to show up on camera. Would love to have more diversity in my videos!
Be lucky to find the ONE Black at Google.
Why are they all Chinese?
That $200-250k figure for L4 (senior) software engineers is suspiciously low
L4 is software engineer 1 at Google :). Senior level is more L5/L6 and their pay is def higher than this range
Only young people. Why don't you interview experienced people 45-50 years old?
I’d love to but no one in the 40-50s was available for the interviews
People 40-50 years old are rare at Google and work in more senior positions. They don't give interviews for several reasons. Of course they won't discuss their own compensation.
I am connected with you when you were at 1k Keep it up keep uploading content
Omg thank you so much for the encouraging words!! What type of content are you interested about :)? The salary transparency or personal finance tips or others?
@@FinanceWithChi actually i am student from india and want go USA for job opportunities in software(IT) industry What to do fr that? I so noob at this topic pls help me out for this 😭
I also started as an international student. All I can say is reach out & ask for advice from people who have done it from India and online. Most importantly, believe in yourself. Good luck ❤!
Literally all of these people are Asian or Indian

@@drcheesekongWhy are you surprised??
Asians are smart
Heck.. why you pick a lot Asian folks tor the interview?
I interviewed anyone who’s willing to be interviewed. The campus we went to happen to have many Asian folks
About 70% of Google engineers are from Asian origin.
The salary is way better than UK, a company in UK someone with 3-4 years experience get paid around 30k which is completely slavery 😂😂😂 I’m going to USA for such salary
The pay gap tends to be bigger in tech.
But not salary for a software engineering position. Even in UK it's much higher than 30K £.
Does a French master degree coupled with an internship helps in landing a job at Google?? I'm originally from Asia.
I know some Google engineers without a CS degree so it’s possible :)
I'm a Googler and I earn a lot.😄
Congrats :)
I can only see Indians and Chinese?
Wtf... Dude... What is that Red Stuff all over the building?
🤔 which red stuff are you seeing?! Not sure if I am looking the same thing you’re referencing
I got the impression that Chinese people are very smart.
They are definitely very hard working :)!
My white colleagues find so many excuse to say sth/someone is blocking them, while my Chinese colleagues fix them immediately, even not mentioning those bullshit in the Standup. People like hiring smart and hardworking than smart and lazy.
@@Kc-nn8mnEspecially hard working. Non-Asian Americans are lazy compared to Asians and Asian-Americans.
And what happens when you re a dreamer? :)
Aren’t we all dreamers ;)?
@@FinanceWithChi my dreams are only mine 😊
You dream up a new Google.
I honeslty think pay should be private. Imagine if youre a go getter and bring 10x value to your co-worker but your pay is restricted based on pay transparacy. I think if youre a rockstar you should be paid as a rockstar . Just my 2 cents
Pay transparency gives you an idea of how much you should expect to get paid on average for the level of your job. If you are a rockstar you should def negotiate for more pay. I actually posted a video talking about tips to do just that.
Pathetic company
So great, Chi.

I guess that to work in google you have to be only a software engineer
Definitely not! They have other roles like Product/Program Manager, Sales, Analyst, Technician, etc other than software engineer. I’d love to include more role diversity in the interview but didn’t have much luck in the location we went to.
Are there any entry level roles at Microsoft? Like regular sales or inventory roles? It seems everyone is higher up in their positions!
Yes there are! A lot of my former colleagues started out as an entry level
@@FinanceWithChi Thank You 🫶🏽 I will look into some positions. I live in NYC.
There goes the housing and rental market.
Can we get a more diverse video next time like with people of color?
I will do my best! My goal is to include more diversity in these interviews, but it’s not easy sometimes. We literally interviewed anyone there willing to be filmed.
🫶🏾🫶🏾 thank you
Lmao
POC? You mean Blacks? There are nearly no Blacks at Google.
I Love you I want to send you money
How do u set up an smp 500?
You can simply open a brokerage account in Vanguard or Fidelity and buy index funds that track S&P 500 like VOO.
Coding is a great career snd pays well for the people that can bare to do it i certainly couldn't
Well good thing is there are many other roles in tech that pay well and don’t require coding :)
