Nissan 350Z hillclimb onboard Konice | Vrchy Hobby Cup Konice 2024
Onboard video of our Nissan 350Z from the Vrchy Hobby Cup hillclimb event, this time in Konice.
We chose a really hot sunny day to test our new soft semi slick tyres. 😁
The track did not seem to be a perfect fit for the capabilities of Z but it was plenty of fun nonetheless and we scored nice 5th place in both days. :)
The video shows (probably) the best recorded time. It also shows some clear potential for improvement. 😁 In this aspect, this track was an interesting experience because we experimented with different racing lines/styles over the weekend and they generally lead to very similar times in the end. 🤔

Onboard video of our “red” 350Z driving the Brno circuit (Masaryk circuit). This drive was performed during a public trackday on a rather hot summer day. Street tires were (ab)used (Hankook Ventus S1 evo3). The (best) recorded time is 2:40.5. During this lap, the racing line / speed had to be roughly twice adjusted with regards to the other trafic. In any case, it was fun to drive! :) #nissan35...

Hello, DC Sports Headers, TORQEN REZ test pipes, and an Invidia Gemini exhaust installed. It is reasonably loud and has no droning sound inside.
@@la_gr1pSounds good. I just installed PLM LT catless headers... muffler delete, no resonator. Obnoxiously loud... hopefully the resonated Circuit Werks y pipe will tone it down.
How on earth did you initiate with the hand brake??? I know your in low grip conditions but and invitation with an mr2 hand brake, never thought I would see such a thing!!

Thank you. The orange one has a bit more power, but it's also a bit heavier (also driver xd). Neither of them probably has the specified power they should have. Anyway, it's more about who hits the gas first. And of course, the orange one has 1000 more rpm.

@@SamFirthDesigner The orange one is the “HR” version (late-model 350Z with VQ35HR engine) which is supposed to have a bit more horsepower (a bit less torque though) and around 1k more RPM. The red car is “DE” version (VQ35DE engine). However, it does have some modifications (e.g., single exit exhaust, plenum spacer, air intake). Not sure about their real performance impact though. In any case, the cars seem to be fairly similar performance-wise in practice.

The car was running with the following setup (not a full list but the core things are listed 😁): Engine: stock with custom air intake and plenum spacer. Exhaust: test pipes with ISR single exit Suspension: Tein Flex Z coilovers Tires: Hankook Ventus S1 Evo3

Thanks! We did not measure the power on dyno yet but this MR2 runs 2zz + turbo (with Ecumaster EMU CLASSIC) using a stock gearbox. :)
