Nice vid. Have u ever taken a PPG water landing course btw?
Thanks! I've gone through the content and a small simulation, but thankfully, I've never actually taken a dunk in the water before. I try to fly shallow waters when I do water stuff.
@@salvaldivia6072 👍🏼
So incredibly cool with absolutely stunning landscape 😎👍
Florida is beautiful! We're lucky to have such wonderful places to fly.
Where you live ? It looks nice
Didn't the Gaggle App tell you a plane was coming? Thanks for video
@@daveketelsen1773 It usually does but it didn't for this one. I wonder if airlines are different
If that perpetual fog keeps up, we will all be flying IFR or not at all.
hmm dont u have sky demon. or gaggle? did the systems warn you?
@@TONYPARAMOTOR I run Gaggle but it didn't pick this up at all.
nice progress, looks awesome to me 🙂
Now I see why I was getting Emergency alerts from you on Gaggle! LOL
LOL! It wasn't me that almost went in! 🤣🤣🤣
Close 😅
Super close!
Is this new independence? Haven't been there in a while it's changed a lot
No this is by Orlando Apopka Airport. Only used it a few times. Not a great location with air traffic tbh
@salvaldivia6072 have u been out to new independence? Anyone still fly out of there? Me and the wife are looking for land for a permanent lz
@@lawman7806 that would be awesome! Yeah I flew there on Sunday and it was great. Plenty of space to launch
Hey Sal, how do you like the Luna? I have the same one 23m, with less than 10 or so flights on it. How soon did you tie in your tip steering? I'm not interested in acro but maybe a little more agility.
Hi! I love this wing! I tied them in on my second flight and never looked back. It makes it way more dynamic. I'm thinking of dropping down to an 18m but this is the 20m.
@@salvaldivia6072 Thank you Sal, I may give it a try after a few more flights. Love the vids!
@@dgods94 Glad to hear it! More to come :)
What’d you come from wing wise? Your prior wing didn’t have tip steering I thought the step before a Luna would be something like spyder type wing that has it? Thought the Luna was somewhat spicy like a sierraco
@@tango_sierra8608 I was flying an Everest Cross before this, but it also had 2D steering. Certainly not as spicy but still a good wing in the B category.
The best practice (in my option) is making a line with marker across the mount and gopro “feet” so that you can reference the exact angle it was at before. From there you can make micro adjustments looking at those lines. After dialing it in perfect- etch a line with a scribe or knife and then you can remove the gopro as you please and always return to that perfect angle on the chase cam using those reference marks…. Disclaimer I have undiagnosed ocd lol
Love it! I will give that a go
Man your frame looks Close! Ever scraped? Glad to see your content,it’s been a little bit.
Thanks! I need to get back at it. I started putting out some shorts, but saw I had this one on Private. I was going to do something else with this footage but decided to just make it public. This was almost a year ago and yes, it is close. I've adjusted my technique for foot drags so I'm more upright but thankfully have never scraped it. Any video ideas you'd want to see?
I would love to see some videos on your wing over progressions, and any other advanced maneuvers that you’re trying have you barrel rolled yet? Love to see the progression for that also.
@@frenchfry4792 Awesome! I can do that.
Noice
definitely gooder
Appreciate it!
The fly ballon
🤣🤣🤣
I would really love to get into this! What's an average setup cost?
Heck yeah! If you're in FL let me know and I'd be happy to help. They run about $6-7k
Your screensaver is?…. Hahaha
😊😊😊
Greetings Sal! Great content on your channel. I have a Factory R with the same problem so I am thrilled and thankful you have led the way forward in making this video. The issue happened at 39 hours as well. I did not notice any oil leaking. One of the Carter screws came loose and then seized the engine as it lodged between the Carter support and flywheel. The only external observable sign was that there was aluminum dust on the outside of the engine (from the screw scraping against the flywheel before lodging). Question: I don’t think I lost much oil, but in your research what oil do I need to put back into the bearings? My Carter support seal was separated so I will have to replace the cement gasket on it (thanks for the name). I wonder why lock tight was not placed on these screws as they hold the whole weight of the engine and spinning prop to the Carter support that connects to the frame via the engine mounts. Thanks for your awesome work here and your great content. Your flying is inspirational!
Lol, it's definitely not Vidalia 😂
I was cracking up!
Bro I hope you have flotation. Otherwise you’ll sink like a rock when the water pulls you in
Yes but it's only 1 ft of water here LOL
Slalom
One day
Keep it bro I am from India😊
Thanks!
That windy blue update is a game changer! Thanks for bringing this up. I tried it long ago but wasnt like its now. Thanks!
No problem!
Any tips on these? I’m a smidge smaller than you on the wingover size trying to learn myself. (In a spyder 3)
I'd say read the ppg Bible for in depth or Theo de Blic. Overall, weight shift and timing is most important. Better to pull early rather than later as you can become weightless. Keep some outside brake pressure to avoid collapses. Learn how to manage pitch / surges. You can manage energy other ways but learning how to exit straight is good practice. It does come with some caveats with timing on the balloon and surge afterwards.
can i know your weight with all up? (including the wing) And the size of the wing
Sure! 20m wing rated for 120kg. I'm 118 kg all up.
@@salvaldivia6072 same weight but i have 23 mt, maybe too big. Do you think i could do some wingovers? Im waiting for the paramotor to arrive
@@andrearossi4150 I can do them on my 23m as well. Technique is even more important on bigger wings to get them. They have a tendency to not want to roll as much. Lots more weight shift required.
@@salvaldivia6072 ok but can you do them high like with the 20?
@@andrearossi4150 Yes, but they do feel much different and timing is more difficult. I'll see if I can get some footage and send to you with the other wing. Some wings that are rated A may be extremely difficult
weight shift earlier and more
Agreed! I've been working on it since the video.
Hey Sal, awesome vid! please inspect your lines, I noticed something at 10:20.
Yep, they need replaced
2d helps to doing wingovers?
Personally, I think it helps more. You're able to control your roll rate more precisely.
OMG so many bad takeoffs. Wing isn't fully up? Sure, I'll just go to full power and it'll be fine. Not fully in the air? Yeah, I'll just sit down. I am amazed that there were not more crashes. Thanks for posting!
For sure! It was a little nerve wracking watching some of them.
I agree with Sharky!
I will do that from now on
Super cool video! Super fun flying! Love Laugh Live!!!
How do I get added to a list to be notified of future Fly-Ins? Thanks 😊

Smooth landing, babe! 10/10 on the commentary 😂

I just need to attend more of them now! Appreciate it! Was a blast getting to know you more.

Thank you Sal, that was a great video you talking over, and the shoot of the video in 4k is awesome but consume so much battery hahahahaaaaaa Fly Baby Fly.
So much battery! Thank you so much!
The Gentleman on the trike, is he flying a Flow Cosmos Power 2? I would love to get his opinion on the wing if so. I am considering it as my next wing, but not much out there for information on it yet. Thanks!
Not a flow forget what he flies but not flow.
It looks like the Flow Cosmos Power 2 to me as well. www.flowparagliders.com.au/cosmos-power-2/ I wonder if this is Jerry but not 100% sure which pilot this was.
