I'm torn about this video. At one level, I'm delighted that an historic competition car has found a careful and committed owner. On the other, I'm saddened that what was built purely for competition is being retired as little more than a mobile display (5500 rpm? With the mods it has, that engine is probably good for 8000). Cars many years older than this one - and many times more valuable and irreplaceable (think Bugattis, Bentleys, Alfas, etc) - are still being thrashed joyfully at hill climbs, club days at famous tracks, and anywhere real 'motoring' is to be found.

A lot of the appeal of a classic Corvette is the interior. I think his creation is beautiful on the outside but totally ruined it with a modern interior. It his car so he can do what he wants with it.

I’m not even a Ford fan, but that 292 Mustang revs to the moon. Fantastic racing from all of them. Somewhere in life I missed my true calling to be a racing driver.

The poor guy in the orange Mustang has the prettiest car on the track but he's afraid to get it dented.
