    I would add to this a little bit. I think that it's a lesser chaos god. None of the big four. They are using the Tau because they have a small impression on the warp and so they are less likely to draw the attention of the warp. It's also important to remember that not all beings of the warp are evil and want harm. Chaos just means not controlled, and by 40k's standards, not controlled by the Imperium.

    I've always believed the T'au are a Tzeentch project. None of the other gods seem like the type who would give a shit about the T'au or what they stand for. Change. Progress. Scientific curiosity and a drive to understand the universe around them. These are the kind of things that are much more up Tzeentch's alley. The warp storms and the miraculous appearance of the Ethereals that would unite and deliver the T'au to the stars so quickly is too much of a coincidence for me.

    The blood ritual isn't come kind 'splill your blood into a cauldron an drink it kind of ritual" it's more of a cutting ceremony. At the worst, I heard they literally cut the T'ua symbol on eachothers chest, pretty ahrd core, but nothing that screams blood rituals of khorne. Not to mention, Khorne would NEVER accept a fighting style like the T'au. But it's more of a bonding ceremony where they cut themselves and mix their blood to 'bond' to one another. A practice that has been fairly normal across human history. Slaanesh ain't doing nothing for the T'au cause they don't encourage ideas of lovem lust or intimacy. Or even over indulgence. Nurgle, they ain't disgusting and besides the plague that wiped out the the first race they encountered, they have no real connection to plague or disgusting stuff. The plague probably was similiar to when eurpeans came to the north america and got the natives sick. Tzeeentch is the closest god I can think, but they aren't diplicitous , often. Battle strategies like from Kouyon can be tricksy but as a whole the T'au don't seem to be a dishonest faction. infact they are almost too honest.(except the ethereals) And I doubt chaos gods want to have another chaos god to contend with, they seem to actively avoid letting a fifth chaos god exist.... unless you consider they actually wanted the emperor to turn into one. Cause four gods means the great game theoretically can't end, a new god throws that out of balance. I think it's the creation of the goddess of the greater good is total accident. The ethereals learned of this, and seemed to seriously consider killing all the auxilaries, whcih to me says the ethereals know alot more than they let on. maybe they have made a deal with chaos in the pastlike the emperor seemed to do to gain the knowledge to make the primarchs and stuff. If anyone is related to chaos it's the ethereals, the rest have no connection at all. And it might be that the ethereals are protecting the T'au from chaos. When farsight nearly got tempted by Khorne, it was mysteriously after the world eater killed all the ethereals in his forces. But he proved the t'au can resistthe call without the ethereals, and that scares them.

      @postholocene Před 26 dny

      even the tau, the adorable little doomed materialists in a universe full of magic, demons, and gods, don't attempt to assume a moral high ground in their argumentation. they are pragmatists, not moralists - and this is 40k. anybody taking or assuming that a moral high ground exists somewhere in this setting should prolly stick to star trek. 40k absolutely 100% needed a faction of brutally pragmatic yet tragically naive stalinists. it helps pull the setting away from all the tolkien shit, and it fills a necessary role in the ideological structure of the lore.

    If you look closely, there's a Xenos race that represents a natural manifestation of every Chaos God in the 40K setting, with Necrons being the green unkillable harbingers of death, the Eldar explain themselves, and you could associate the Orks with Khorne, though I would go as far as to say that Khorne is the one Chaos God that hasn't manifested in the form of a Xenos faction (yet). But when you look closely at the T'au, you'll begin to see "Tzeentch" written all over the walls. Ranged attacks akin to spells; the will to improve everything; the tendency to manipulate, or to be manipulated; always coming up with something new... Countrary to the other Chaos Gods, you'd think Tzeentch would actively go out of his way to create his own Xenos faction, just to be a Contrarian, but overall the colour blue is either an unintentional invitation for him to take the wheel, or an omen that he already has. All according to plan...

    I think one could make the argument that Tau are 100% warp. Chaos does not = Warp. Chaos exist WITHIN the warp. The warp takes on the shape of whatever fills its "cup". The warp is a HUUUGE place, the chaos gods only hold sway over specific "coral reefs" among the waves. The Greater Good could still all be in the name of an unknown warp entity that gains power from the manifestations of the Greater Good. Paradoxically, Tau "souls" hardly have any Warp signature and hardly pass as a snack for chaos demons/gods. Which may beg the question, are they designed this way to be pseudo-blanks? Or are they young, and still growing their soul warp signature with time? Being that the Tau COME from a warp storm event, i would assume the former, that the Tau DNA has been permanently "blankified" in some way from advancing so rapidly within a warp storm.

  • @WarpstoneHamster
    @WarpstoneHamster Před 27 dny

    your entire explenation makes me believe it's all prelude towards the new chaos god that'll be revealed in the future, one we're all VERY aware of already: The Golden God (The Emperor's personification in the warp ~ since every living, thinking being is reflected in the warp as if the warp functions like a mirror) We all know the emperor was véry focussed on unifying everything under a single banner (being the greater good in the TAU's case). Since all primarchs are a piece of the emperor himself, I'm going to point at the Blood Angels who also have a blood-ritual deeply engraved throughout their entire lore, while being fully sanctified by the Emperor. But that is my take on it. Good video, gave me lots of food for speculation :D

  • @AnthonySmith-gr8pf
    @AnthonySmith-gr8pf Před 27 dny

    You mean Lorgar was showing Horus the truth. The emperor already knew Lorgar worshipped chaos when he came to get him from the planet he was raised on. The Emperor has a history of not giving a damn about his sons as long as they followed orders. The emperor DID ascend to god status regardless of what he told his primarchs-going so far as to humiliate Lorgar and the Word Bearers publicly to prove a point.....even tho the emperor used his psychic power to make them all kneel.....the very same power some of his other sons already had and were condemned for. The emperor is a narcissistic sociopath and worse than the Ruinous Powers. None of the chaos gods needed to lie to their subjects into thinking they were the good guys. The imperium worshipped the emperor regardless of how he felt about it. Him dying only cemented it. No. Horus didnt get fucked. He was shown the truth and he failed to succeed in the uprising.
