PowerZol™ ZD9149 and The Importance of Aftermarket Diesel Additives in Heavy Duty Vehicles
The North American diesel market is dominated by heavy-duty vehicles and, currently, there is no additive specification to protect these vehicles from harmful deposit formation. That’s why the team at Lubrizol developed a custom engine stand test, utilizing a more market-representative engine, to simulate real-world use. The goal of this test was to illustrate that current industry standard tests, run on European passenger cars, do not accurately demonstrate the amount of additization needed to keep these high-value vehicles operable. The test revealed that the use of a powerful aftermarket diesel additive, like PowerZol™ ZD9149, is needed to keep equipment running as the manufacturer intended.

How it Works: What’s the Role of a Metalworking Fluid?
zhlédnutí 1,2KPřed rokem
How it Works: What’s the Role of a Metalworking Fluid? Metal cutting operations are quite severe. As the cutting tool engages the workpiece material and removes it in the form of metal chips, there is a significant amount of heat and force generated. Metalworking fluids play a critical role in ensuring that the tool avoids premature wear and that the workpiece surface is free from defects. Ther...

it doesn't work 😂😂😂
That’s why I use Mobil 1 😂
At 40 below, my fuel is going to be jell-o, my radiator and block will be frozen, my battery will be dead, and my tires will be froze to the ground. If it ever gets that cold, I won't be worried about the oil in my gearbox. I'll be busy fighting the polar bear for scraps of whale meat!
Hmm just like sitting on a huge firework!! Never going to happen with me at least. Now the music is not necessary as my school classes never had that sort of racket going on while we were in class. Otherwise quite informative.
Do you know how much fuel goes i to the engine oil because of short petrol engine cycles in hybrids?
Ótimo Vídeo!
nice vids for people live in cold area for tropical, we dont read the winter number :)
Would be better without the music
Cool video, but the background music is way too loud and drowns out the voice a bit at times
My Suzuki with or without gpf has the same oil recomandation. Btw, a3/b4 oil has 1.6% ash level, c3 has 0.8%. Not a big difference.
The video has half truths. Any Lithium ion cell is inherently unstable and once heated past 70 °C is at risk of going into thermal runaway. The cell can not be extinguished once started as the cell will provide all that is needed to continue the burn reaction. Yes they will burn under water. Water is used to try to stop the spread of cell by cell detonation and fire expansion of 1200 - 3000 °C. A cell must exhaust all of its chemicals before becoming a non-fire risk. That is why a battery can self reignite later.

Who idiot created pc of Sh..
Just wait until the government bans all the good oil to destroy your gasoline engine on purpose! Its right around the corner.
So in order to keep good protection better base oils and add packs need to be used.
More bullshit emissions.
The logic is something like "let's collect it over time so we can dump it in one go" 😮
Exactly, Also dumping Money and time.
they aim for effeciency so they dont want it to goes active most of the time, and in general, they need it to fail periodicaly so the cost keeps commin 🤷♂️
Cut the noise
Very good video. However, the music is way too loud, annoying and distracting.
I use 75w90 in my 08 Crown Vic
Great info, gentlemen.
I love how they gloss over the excess wear caused by low HTHS oil.
Seems like a way to just stop you doing whatever you want to your car
Thnks Man,
But, most people on earth will seldom experience a colder day than -20 celsius. That's some artic temperatures.
I home in Northern Mn not in the artic. The winter of 21 & 22 we would have called that one of the better days, many days it never got above zero. Same as what's coming here for the next 3 weeks. You have a job you have to go to well then you got to go out in the sh!t. Very seldom did anything shut down.
@@armedfarm3429 thank you. I'm from Canada but the west coast. I know the Mn or Saskatchewan get to -30 quite a bit in the winter. I've heard you can get frost bite in your lungs if your not careful.
I have had 4 toes removed so far. It's nothing to freeze yer feet to a point that you don't know how bad they are froze when you are plowing snow or feeding cattle, it has to be done. A few years ago it was -22 at mid-day & I had to finish what I was doing. By the time I got in the house my socks had to be peeled from my feet, even though I was wearing snowmobile boots with 2pr winter insulated socks. I was outside for an hour, thats it. Look up Embarrass Mn, we get some hellish cold spells. @@jasonforster9445
Good save SAE 15w40 full saps and high hths whith a lot of zddp.
I lost a Ford 3.0L engine because the oil I was using was low HTHS. I saved maybe 3% in fuel economy and ended up having to buy a new car.
This is why I switched to Castrol it has low calcium and high (1200-1500) calcium can cause LSPI with forced induction systems.
thank you for this.
Hi. I bought a brand new CF MOTO 450RS motorcycle and from new, gear changes were rough and it had vibrations. After the first service, the bike felt a lot worse, and engine was over heating sporadically. At 1400klm I realised when the dealer said that it was normal and I had taken the bike back 6 times, back to the dealer, I investigated the problem and found the dealer was filling the oil to below the empty level. When I toped up the oil, it took 750ml to get it to the full line. That's 1/3rd oil missing since new. In the cf moto user manual it states that the oil should only be filled to below the low line, but in doesn't say if this when the bike is on the side stand or upright on a service stand. Turns out they were filling it up on the service stand in the upright, and those instructions were for the bike being on the side stand. So dealer was filling my bike and some others short of oil. Engine now sounds rough compared to new bike and I am hearing a slight ratting sound. Can you please tell me, during this crucial run in period, what is the potential damage to the engine and gear box? I think during the crucial 1000klm run in period not having enough oil to meet even the bottom line of the low indicator mark would have caused damage, but dealer said no, it's o.k..

Does an oil lasts the 12.000km as specified on Honda Owner's manual??
No
So to clean the filter of contaminants from fuel, you burn more fuel. EPA logic hard at work I see.
It only does the regeneration after few hundred miles or whenever the sensor deems it necessary. And the particles in question are filtered mostly to decrease the amount of particles in the air that we breathe in, as the particles cause cancer over time. Fewer particles means less cancer for everyone.
That's like saying less nuclear fallout is better.
yeah we can take it like that
@@Badjoe117mines stuck in regen, try again
Excellent video.💜💙💚💛❤
Yes I don't know enough about how an engine works, but I'm here and trying to learn. So I was expecting a way to change a filter maybe every other oil change or something. But apparently there is only changing out the gpf entirely and must be done by licensed mechanic due to legality issues correct? This ensuring a thriving mechanic industry because if we peons could do this ourselves that would be too affordable. Sigh.....as if the electronics in the car weren't enough of a catch fire, misfire, don't fire at all headache.
So when this clogs it burns the valves. It’s a more restrictive faster clogging catalytic converter. SWEET.
Is this going to be filled with valuable metals for crack heads to steal also
1500 miles my eco diesel goes into limp mode in Louisville Kentucky going to a funeral in West Virginia. I have to stay a week lucky family there to get the diesel particulate filter changed. Haven’t had trouble since 😂 also haven’t used anymore def
Lol
Nice animation
Thank you so much.
What's with the stupid, annoying constant back-ground music?????? Given the nature of the video, there wasn't ANY need for any sensationalist, dramatic music - the voice-over was all it needed, f.f.k's sakes.
dont cars have enough junk on them to break every other month & cost 15 to 18 hundred dollars to repair.its getting ridiculous.the people who design this crap didnt have any problems breathing.
At this point they should just bring back leaded gas. There was absolutely no downsides to breathing that in.
Tj4092@135
The music 🎵 is way too intrusive and I had to stop 🛑 the video because of it.
Same!
As much trouble the battery in an ICE car gives every few years l definitely don't need this large of a time bomb to sit on.
who leave their house when weather is -40degree??????? i wanna know the difference at normal temp
Good point
I do every year...
@@brandonvalkenburg my sincere apology
No noticeable difference I would bet.
Lots of people. Entire industries.
Veri nice
I wouldn't want to be sat on that !
What shit system. Ruins performance and sound, basically this kills sports cars. V8s now sound like R4s....
So LSPI is a gas engine issue , not so for direct injection diesel powered engines ? Is this statement correct?
