Can u adjust boost pressure or just RPMs for launch control?
@@obamacare7751 just RPM, the rpm you choose kinda adjusts the boost depending on how high the rpm is.
@@Anything_With_An_Engine thank u 🙏
Hell yeah nice man. You have any mods to get the bov sound? Or is that stock?
Just a mishimoto intake. MBRP single exit exhaust. And OTS Tune from Boost controlled performance. Otherwise completely stock.
Nice seeing how much more you push this wrx on the cannons vs the mustang. 😂
Yeah mustang felt like a boat lol. I’m not even pushing the WRX as hard as I could either.
Cool video
Is this borla extreme? Or the sports?

I should be getting my XR650L next week. It's a 2008 with very low miles and my first dual sport. Very therapeutic watching & hearing that motor. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching I’m glad you enjoyed the video. That XR certainly was and still is one of my favorite bikes I ever rode. It was not my bike however and it has since been sold. I definitely think I eventually want to buy one for myself. They are so awesome for just going out and exploring trails and or even just taking it out to go get ice cream or lunch with friends. Amazing machines.
Thanks for the response. Having never had a dual sport I am looking forward to what you described. I grew up riding dirt bikes. When I got older I did the crotch rockets and then cruisers. Now the next chapter is the XR650L dual sport. I am a taller rider and its high seat height appeals to me.@@Anything_With_An_Engine
@@christophermcsherry2655 yeah I’m 5’11” and the stock seat height was great with some boots for me. The bike was my fathers and he is vertically challenged so he had to lower it and put the seat concepts lower seat. The only thing I would have changed if I owned the bike myself would have been building the suspension for my weight. I normally ride dirt bikes faster on rougher stuff but the XR was a little soft for my fat butt to ride it harder than I was in the video. The stock tires also weren’t too shabby off road but they left a lot to be desired on harder packed dirt.
Bike runs perfectly. What aftermarket or changes have you made?
Dave’s mod carburetor. Big gun evo R slip on, and a 1.5 inch lowering link and a seat concepts lower seat.
@@Anything_With_An_Engine awesome. I’m about to get a 2023 xr650L and have been researching what mods to do. So you are running stock carburetor jetting’s?
@@frankbougher this link is what we did to the carb to make it run well with the slip on. www.jetsrus.com/FAQs/FAQ_jetting_repository_XR650L_daves_mod.html
do you have a part number for that exhaust sir? i’m trying to find it on the website
This is the only thing I can find unfortunately from what it looks like the company is no longer making this exhaust system or they are out of the product. Here is the part number that though HDEX-17C-14-28B. You can find them on sale on EBay
dude thank you. i really appreciate it!
what audio do you run? i have a go pro hreo 7 and 360 using a cardo bluetooth,
I use a Sony ICD-UX570 Audio recorder that I just put in my pocket while riding.
@@Anything_With_An_Engine is that connected through an app / phone?
@@Haguewood it is its own self contained device does not connect to anything. It saves its files on a micro sd card that is in the device.
Is that Lancaster?
Yes this was filmed around the west side of Lancaster
U know Y because XR'S RULE. Thanks from NOR-CAL.
Good vid, keep em coming! Ride safe .
Keep it up !!! More content like this fella
Sorry volume is a little loud and messy in the first couple minutes that will be fixed next video!
I have the Flowmaster x-pipe on my 17 V6, I’m trying to decide between the outlaws or the FX mufflers.
I’ve heard real F-16s, they sound like this but louder.
How can I fly with yall I think I can do the same
Good idea adding a lower seat and lowering kit . I'm 5'10" and could only touch on both sides of my 2004 XR650L with my tippy toes . I miss that bike .
We sold this bike... I really do miss it. Had lots of stuff I wanted to do with it. But life is just busy and the XR was to much of a toy.
nice place to ride , for sure

The best ASMR video, the sound is perfect.
Holy is this a great colour! What is the paint code?
Hi I do not remember the paint code but it was a Acura paint color called gunmetal metallic.
I was in high school when they came out with the XR 650L swore I would get one and years later my favorite motorcycle I have ever owned I had rockets thru goldwing and still rode the XR the most.
Did u reuse or replace the ring gasket?
There was no gasket
@@Anything_With_An_Engine nothing between the downpipe and catback?
@@turbsifc1974 correct, I don't remember messing with any gaskets, just un bolt and bolt on the new system
@@Anything_With_An_Engine weird cause the oem had a o ring type gasket, which usually gets stuck to the pipe, im like unsure of whether to just bolt it up or not lol and theres not much info online
Is that a seat concepts low.
Yes it is
Just from your shift intervals I would buy your bike used.
I am not sure what you mean? 😅
You’re too easy on the throttle. Had one for twenty years, used to wheelie it all the time. Such a great bike.

Damn such a soothing video
Very nicely done... would love to have seen some external views.
How is it with resonator removed I just installed mine on my sedan and I feel like it’s too quiet
With the Resonator removed its perfect in terms of volume and sound. The downside is the slight increase in drone. If you only drive around town 90% of the time you will love it but if you are doing a lot of freeway miles the drone can be pretty annoying around 3,000-Rpm. My soon to be fix for the drone is im gonna weld on a side branch resonator. Hope this helps!
@@Anything_With_An_Engine that’s cool man what kinda resonator you’re thinking about ? Also are the pops and crackles better ?
@@hussali8838 yeah the crackles are better for sure. Uhm the resonator im gonna do is called a side branch resonator. Or a Helmotz resonator. Its a specific length piece of pipe that branches off the main exhaust and is capped at the end. They are supposed to cancel out droning frequency from the exhaust.
@@Anything_With_An_Engine let me know when you get it done and if you can post up a clip of it I would appreciate it what other mods have you done to it ? Sorry about late reply
awesome brp!!! were getting our on friday and cant wait!!! #livetoride
They are amazing machines i love the big red pig!
hi and thank for the video. The exhausts sound really nice. What are they?
They are just some generic no name slip ons. I can send a link if you want.
@@Anything_With_An_Engine Yes please, that'd be great
Do you think the bike has enough power?, the 2021 verison makes a tad bit more power I think.
Depends, everyones idea of enough power is very different. Some people are fine with 25hp, others can not even have anything less than 100hp. This bike is about 55hp give or take a few and about 50 torque. I can easily cruise at freeway speeds of 80mph+ all day and it still has enough in it to pass people with ease. I have ridden a few similar sized cruisers and this one is the quickest I've ridden yet which is why I got it. An 883 sportster for example is similar power but weighs about 100 pounds more. So when I rode the two back to back the guzzi both handles better and feels faster not to mention the guzzi can hold about 3 more gallons of gas! In my opinion it has enough power for sure. But if you are able to get the newer bike with more power then why not? Or get the older one and just upgrade to the 850cc kit later down the road. For me all I am doing is the pipes and a tune as the bike has plenty of power to feel exciting and I have ridden 150hp bikes....
@@Anything_With_An_Engine thanks for the reply, im looking at getting the 850 v7 so this helps
Love the sound. What kind of exhaust pipes are you using?
Just a pair of generic no name slip ons. They were $44 each so $88 total. Ill try and find the link to them if you want?
@@Anything_With_An_Engine Yes please! They sound sweet.
Do you get a weight savings vs stock system or is the upgrade heavier?
Have not weighed it myself but could easily guess 40-50 pound weight saving between picking the stock up over this Magnaflow system. Not major but it does weight less than stock for sure. Sorry for the late reply I been at work.
BOPIBITY BOOP FUNNY PIZZA PASTA MAN
10:30 Ground shadow shows how tight your diamond was. Really impressive.
Hey! What is the gauge right under the HUD for! Nice video!
It is a stop watch added into the cockpit to help provide accurate timing for solo pilots on their opposing maneuvers
How long did it take to get this close to the boss? Also you lowered the gear over 250kt is that something you can do on the F18 modified for Blue Angels?
It takes lots of practice and trust in the lead pilot. Many hours of studying your own performance and help from other good pilots gets you to be a good pilot in formation as well as understanding what your doing to control the aircraft to ensure you do not crash yourself or crash into the rest of the formation. As for the gear speed thing, no you should not lower it above 250. That is not a appropriate habit to have but lowering it 10-20 knots above your limits certainly wont kill it the 250 number is likely placed well below the actual structural limits of extending the gear at those speeds to prevent both excessive wear and damage in real life and besides this is a simulator.... Hope this answers your questions?
@@Anything_With_An_Engine thank you for replying, yes I appreciate you answering my questions. I see, so the standard limit for the gear also applies to Blue Angels. I’m going to be a pilot who leads 5 other F18Cs in a sim called CarrierLandingHD. Now we are working on our original maneuvers, and do you guys share the parameters of each maneuver of Blues with the 6 pilots? And if so, could you teach me about the loops you guys do, what I want to know about the loop is, do you always use afterburners during a loop?(I guess it’s not when you guys initiate the loop at like 380 to 400kt) And the same question for the board, the board isn’t always necessary on the later half(falling part) of the loop, right? Thanks.
@@carrierlandinghdlegacyhorn2686 So I no longer fly with the group of individuals that performed, but we followed everything as closely as possible to the real Blue Angels and the parameters they used for each maneuver, from speed, G Forces, and altitudes. Typically every complete looping maneuver would use air brakes on the down line of the maneuver. As for use of after burner it was never used except for the "Burner 270" and the take off portion or "squirrel cage on take off". They used Burner for take off and going up into the vertical and before going inverted they would come out of burner then rolling 180 degrees and into the down line into the full loop portion of the take off maneuver. Hope that info helps. EDIT: To avoid confusion I wanted to note that certain looping maneuvers did not use airbrakes, such as the barrel roll break and certain vertical breaks. Try to study Blue Angel videos and each maneuvers you will see what they do for each one.
@@Anything_With_An_Engine thanks, that is very helpful, we are gonna use the air brakes for every loop on the down line.
