I am very very new to polymer clay, just getting all the tools and clays at moment, just need a tile now, which i am not sure where i'll get that from where i live. Wiping hands with a baby wipe or clean with alcohol before you touch clay with foil. Might keep them from dulling or just put resin like I do. Lol

Hi. Just to warn u, that the uv lamp is bad for your eyes. Use dark sun glasses to protect your eye.

I am/was a nail tech and sometimes ran into this problem and often the foil has a coating which can be gently wiped with acetone ( I think, if not isopropyl alcohol it's been a couple of years) then the foil would come away on your project...hope this helps xxx Love your real, raw video, xxx p.s. Treys Clay on youtube has done the foil too but the foil didn't dull when she baked it, perhaps you could compare notes with her as to what may have caused it xxx

Is the pink foil thicker than the others? Are there more inclusions that are making it slightly stronger which might be the reason it did not work? It appears less flexible from what I can see. Great technique though. Thank you.

As a new subscriber, I would like to thank you for a wonderful tutorial! Can you please tell me how I can get the cutter for this technique? I tried your link below and it says it is currently not in service. This is a wonderful effect, and I would love to visit your Etsy shop.

You can use an acrylic block to push the cutter in. Saves the hands.

I apply the foils after baking using Zig 2-way glue, then I add the resin. It retains all the holographic qualities that way.

I have done wire work. This frankly looks pretty flimsy, like it would come apart easily in the hands of a customer.

The pink looks like heat transfer foil. So it won't stick like the deco foils

You could use the scraps to mosaic the sides of flower pots all round or create a mosaic shape like a flower onto a flower pot or a chalk painted vase etc?
