Here is proof for Indians that there are geniuses hiding amongst the poor in the country. After all, this man's ancestors left the country to earn a living and not because they were rich, educated or the elitist class. Yet, Indians look down on the poor in India. Raise them from poverty and you will stumble on an Einstein or two!

Why do we even celebrate this as a drink and eat up today in Trinidad? It should be a day of praise and remembrance. Not lime and fete.

The language loss: another British issue. If you didn't know English, your chances of getting a job was nil.. so the elders wanted their children to learn English in order to progress and hence the loss of the mother tongue.. today, most of the doctors, lawyers, teachers are of Indian origin......🙂🙂🇺🇸

I still prefer being here in Trinidad than even in modern day India, thanks to my ancestors. And don't be fooled all races in mankind have their faults, none is superior than another, it might just be covered up more base on the country, and who the media supports.

The Renaissance in 14th century, in Europe, brought an end to the dark ages in Europe, and produced a class of warriors, who were better equipped with warfare instruments, better voyage vessels and unanswerable war strategies. So they enslaved millions of dark Africans and Asians, put them to work in their Farmhouses for almost 4 centuries. The resilience they got from their religion saved them, otherwise they had perished by so called enlightened humans.

Even though they claim to say that they were not aware of the wage issues, the indians had a right to stand with the african freed men and women for betterment for all involved. Did they care about the plight of the Africans? Or were too busy acting superior?

People, The indian decendants in Trinidad are not the richest. The people of Lebanon or syria are the richest. Travel around Trinidad and you will see some Indians living in poverty. For the oil wealth Trinidad had, there should be no poverty regardless of race.
