GoRuck GR1 21L USA vs. Vietnam
zhlédnutí 6KPřed 3 lety
* Also wanted to add the straps seem to wider on the USA made GR1 as well as the zipper pulls on the Vietnam made GR1 being so thin it made it difficult to grab (hence the replacing of the zipper pulls on them). The USA made GR1 is overall a lighter bag as well compared to the Vietnam made one.
GoRuck GR1 vs. Recycled Firefighter Battalion 24hr Comparison

Recycled Firefighter Battalion 24hr: bit.ly/3ildH9b GoRuck GR1 21L (Vietnam made): www.goruck.com/gr1/ Just my thoughts on the differences between these two bags. Feel free to let me know if you think otherwise.
Took it camping doing all the shit with it and then return. This is why REI is closing stores everywhere.
The Mini is simply too small for me. I love the CF-Elite 535.
To add. I have used every tool on my signal within a few weeks. I use my can opener when overlanding. For space reasons. This is always in my pocket. A can opener takes up space. The awl is great for poking, second "blade" for opening plastics, the bits in the junkyard are great for under dash stuff not getting out to get a driver when you didn't know you needed one. The saw is decent for cutting small branches in a pinch. The pliers are amazing for convenience sake. wire cutter suits the automotive world great In junkyards. I dont rely on it entirely. But I mostly use it for convenience sake. Just because I don't want to go dig out a tool or unpack my overland rig. The bit driver is neat and helpful. But a sturdy thing is nice rather then a cheap driver. It's for space saving and convenience. And it's held up well. The hammer bit and bottle.opener are amazing just to have at the belt ready to go. I love mine. It serves its uses in just convenience. Not really as good as a wingman for all around. But it has exactly what I like it for. And only rhe tools I will use rather then a few I won't. Just my 2c. Very purpose built for space savings and convenience
Not sure if the new batch is made cheaper. Yours looks great but my fairly new one has stitches coming undone where the top of the shoulder strap connects to the bag
Why didn’t you just buy a manucure set? 😂
Покрытие topo на клинке слезает при работе? Или покрытие хорошо держится и не слезает при строгании дерева?
Muchas gracias! Me ayudaste a elegir bien
This video should be called "Man who carries survival tool for a year but luckily never gets in a survival situation describes how he didn't use survival tool".
A few weeks? That's way too much use. Anyways I returned my the next day. I did not like the Mini Bugout at all.
Hes a piece of crap for doing that
Old video but Cordura is a brand of fabrics. 1000D Cordura is simply Cordura brand 1000D nylon. Like all fabrics it can vary between batches, coatings, and factories. So 1000D Cordura can feel a bit different depending on those details.
Great vid and awesome analogy at the end! Haha
I’m between the signal and the MUT. I feel like the MUT is more useful when camping because you can just have a whistle and a zippo lighter for fire. You can also learn how to make a whistle as well in certain terrain
Benchmade formula: 100% Quality = 250% Price.
To me the problem with returning it is a lot of places will just put it back on the shelf and sell it as new, or open-box, instead of what it is:a pre-owned knife in used condition.
I don't know why the army green model is the only one who has the nice wavy lines on the blade
Thats screwed up, returning a used knife as a new one, whats wrong with you?
that's not for allen key, it's for 1/4" driver bit. then you can attach whatever the bit on it.
As a Maintenance technician a multi tool is indespensable. Once you get used to utilizing one everyday at work for miscellaneous tasks it saves you a lot of time And absolutely can get you out of a pitch on the daily. My last multitude of a different brand just broke and you feel naked without it I will probably be purchasing this. It has the main features. I would need plus I do a lot of outdoors stuff and this is a perfect for work and outdoors
Keep it in your car as a backup.
I’m 12 and found this on our driveway I asked my parents if it’s there’s and they said no I tried to see what I could do with this
Give it to your dad for his next birthday. Good find btw!
ppl make videos about anything
i see you flick it with your thumb but i use my index finger and man every time it gets wedge pinched when opening i might grind down the corner of the blade
I broke my blade and they gave me all new everything. Fyi
So these are the type of people that leave 2-3 stars reviews huh.. someone who doesn’t even use it or know how to use it properly and then complain that is faulty
Thanks, I appreciate the honest review and recommendation against this tool.
🤦🏼♂️🙄😢
For the life of me I will never understand why people talk about food prep with their pocket knives. Peeling potatoes, carrots? Use a proper kitchen knife guys. Why would you even think about using the same knife used to cut rope, zip ties, wood, card board, etc. When you're 2 paces from the right tool?
I look at it as this, I’ve never in my life said to myself I sure wish I had that 135 bucks back but I have however said man I should’ve kept that knife of gun or whatever it is I sold.
All you said was “ i never really used this tool cos I had others that others more specific for the job.” 10x+ times. Yeah sure, if I have a machete of one meter on my hand I will not reach the leatherman. If I have a full fledge hammer I will not reach for the leatherman. If I have my huge ferro rod at hands I will not reach my leatherman. What u talking about lol
I have a couple of the regular Bugout knives and love them, but I just ordered a Bugout mini because I want to add to a collection of knives that fit in my denim jeans’ 5th pocket.
This dude talking about how simple it made " task,"... Dude you ain't using a knife. If it's cut an apple I'd be shocked . You flick it open 100 times a day just like this.. and that's it....
I think it's a great tool for survival and EDC carry
When you say you tucked in it, did you add weight? Like ruck plates or bricks? I’m looking for a general EDC bag I can use for fishing but also want to eventually ruck with it. Being able to comfortably hold added weights is important. :)
When you bought the smaller knife and loved it and played with it and cherished it for awhile it became YOURS!! YOU SHOULDN'T RETURN IT! IT WOULD BE DISHONEST!! IT'S YOURS!
No no, it's not kinda stupid at all, I have the same problem. When you grow a nice collection it gets difficult to choose your "really everyday" knife, on one side of the coin you don't want to put it to use, but also a rugged used knife gets unique and personal. We're talking high-end knives that a lot of people wouldn't buy. I am from Italy and I was SUPER lucky to find a Microtech Ultratech, I saw it and bought it not even caring about the price. Another nice addition to my collection was a Rockstead, but those two knives aren't going to cut something, ever. Actually, my EDC is a Benchmade Phaeton but I think I'm about to rotate soon.
I don't know if I would return it for that reason. I have a Benchmade 200 Puukko CPM-3V that just sits in the sheath and collects dust for the most part but I'm not about to get rid of it. Even though my ESEE Izula CPM-S35VN with Midnite Tiger G10 scales from TKC can do everything I'm going to need the Benchmade to do. Just some days I feel like carrying a bigger knife like during the cold season. And during the hotter Seasons I like carrying smaller knives. I do get it though. Ever since I got my mini Griptilian I haven't really used any of my fixed blades which are my favorites and most useful knives. It's just so darn practical and honestly efficient for most tasks. But it does keep me away from my favorites for the most part these days
I would not buy either of those. I purchased the 940-1 and was so disappointed. Im used to bigger blades then those.
Go and get a RECON 1. It's cheaper, good steel, bulletproof lockup and you ain't paying for the name.
Also. People, Please don't go buy things when you know your probably just gonna return them. Especially at your local shops and small businesses. That Does Not help them.
I like Benchmade knives. Mainly because they're made in America. The blade quality is good to great on bugout, griptilian but the handles suck. You can but a really great set of handles, like I did, from Applied Weapons Technology but, that's another $80+. You will then have a solid knife but, the cost of a Benchmade just for the blade is outrageous. I'm currently trying out suitable alternatives.
You really are a jerk. I hope they don't let you return it. I hope your little CZcams whatever fails. Just go buy whatever knife you want. No need to return anything. You've showed everyone your true character. Broke and desperate.
So. You put it together wrong and broke it? Ok...
quit being a bitch bro
Isn't it all about what you might need rather than what you might not need?
king bugout is dead, long live the new king-king taggedout!
i use my bugout for fruits and vegetable only lol
As a Signalman I found my self using this leatherman on a daily basis an for my electrical cable/wire needs. Durable and lightweight to not even notice you're carrying it.
I just bought one to carry as a cable tech. I destroyed my Gerber in under a year.
This would be perfect for hunting
Because it’s a $20 knife being sold for $100
I struggle to find a use for serrated edges that's worth sacrificing edge-length from my knife blade for. Either have a full saw blade, or just have the full knife be edged normally.
