I see in the news some lately what is clearly Chinese citizen, but with 3rd country passports like St. Kitts, Cambodia, Cypress, Turkey, and Vanuatu arrested in Singapore. Don't these flag some kind of suspicion in most countries, let's say when someone with Turkish passport holder can't speak Turkish? Do you consider those PP legit, or do they just get turned down for visas when they try?

Do foreign police agencies ever come to RSO to ask questions that are not really in their wheelhouse. Such as smaller country catches passport forger with another smaller country passport and they want to know if it is real or fake. Maybe they don't have the capability to tell, and there is only a small diplomatic presence of the forged passport. Would they ever come to RSO and ask if you could tell them if it is legit?

I worked as a Diplomatic Courier from 1961-1967. Flew 1St class all over the World. It was a job requiring long hours doing nothing apart from keeping an eye on the classified material being delivered. 98% of my travel was done before jet travel. It was a lonely job but one that allowed seeing quite a bit of the World. I flew out of Panama, Manila and Frankfurt. Would I do it again today? No.

Hey Cody, did I understand it correctly that if someone was going to DSS, they could request the Washington Field Office and maybe be able to game the system a bit to have more stability there? Also, say you were going on an overseas assignment, the higher risk location, is there some kind of preference for an agent finishing up in a high risk location, like Iraq, to come back to the field office of their choice? Similar to what the Army does with people that volunteer for Korea or Kuwait, those individuals generally get a little more preference when they come back CONUS. Thank you for all the info you put out, what little I have learned about DSS has mostly come from your videos.

Hello Cody Awesome video and very helpful. I am going through the application process right now. I just finished up my narratives and completed the statement of interest. I am about to schedule my online test, which brings me to my question. What is actually on the online test you have to schedule ? Is it reading, math, or situational? My background is (in combat arms, one tour overseas), and I have been doing contracting and WPS since 2016. I am currently on a WPS contract in Africa at an embassy.

Appreciate the videos!! I’ve been doing my research into DSS for the past few months after a representative was talking at my work. I just got out of the military after 6 years working in IT/Information Security, I’m worried that my job experience won’t be as valuable since I don’t have a ton in a LEU/Personnel Security role. Like you touched on in your video, I have a clear progression of responsibility throughout my career. I know I may be at a disadvantage with this, but do you know how much of a disadvantage?

Hey Cody! Is any of this process done virtually? I'm the commander of an army reserve unit and were going on deployment next month, if I took the DSSAT now would I be able to set myself up at all to flow into the DSS when I get back? I understand the whole process can take up to a year.
