Nice video man
@Manimal5279 Thanks! I am currently working on a video of me flipping a GMC Acadia. On this one, I'm more detailed on the numbers and conditioning of the vehicle. So, stay tuned!
While it is obvious there was minimal transmission experience, it is a wonder this transmission actually worked.
@@gearshifterg9756 Thank you, sir. I will take that as a compliment!
@@RegenAutomotive There is a need for transmission builders. Just from what you have shown, a transmission shop would hire and train you. By the way, trying to reuse that original forward sprag would have been a mistake. Going with the hardened Borg Warner sprag was best.
@gearshifterg9756 Thanks again. I appreciate the kind words! Rebuilding a transmission has always been a bucket list DIY of mine. Next, I am going to rebuild an LS engine and play around with a custom engine stand and tuning. So, stay tuned!
Fucking phenomenal dawg. I’m about to seat mine with you as my guide
⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️🛹🏄🏾♂️🤙🏼🌊
I couldn’t unbolt the 3 bolts on each of the catalytic converters ended up cutting the exhaust oh well its a good excuse to get long tube headers now.
@@STEVEEDG Sounds legit to me!
man I wish I saw this video earlier. So much conflicting information online. Ended up installing the low reverse piston wrong and as a result couldn't get the parking brake lever in. Had to take it all apart again and reassemble lol. Almost done with the rebuild. will see if it works on the weekend.
@@arsenbassenov1685 Thanks for commenting. Good luck this weekend!

@papergatorzfedducca7998 Thanks, brotha. Stay tuned for more videos!
@@RegenAutomotiveyes sir 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Nice. Thanks!
@@thesetruths1404 No problem. Thanks for watching!
@RegenAutomotive I watched all 3 4L60e videos. Would you do anything differently if you did it again? I have a 05 4x4 Yukon 5.3L. 233,000 miles. Looking to get a used cheap broken 4L60/65/70 to rebuild with my teen as a DIY learning project. To have ready. I found a used one for $60, with nothing but Reverse working. Thanks!
@thesetruths1404 It sounds like you are doing yours on a budget, which is also the route I took. So far, I wouldn't have done anything differently. It's been about 3k km, and it's still holding up well. I just did a weekend of camping/ off-roading, and it took the abuse well.
It was a good video for watching after viewing more detailed ones. I'm about to rebuild mine with 225k on it. It works fine, but I want to know I can travel coast2coast. Upgrades for towing are on my list of parts. Fortunately, I bought my 07 TBlazer for less than 3k from original owner, that happenedto own the local Chevy dealership... so spending 5k to totally refresh all parts ignored is ok. I was surprised you did not use some type of band clamp to perfectly mate the pump halves. Now to search for your follow up vid
@@davepetrakos1192 Thanks for watching.
Haha the coffee comment got u a like and a subscribe
@goingb Thanks, Brother. Stay tuned for some more DIY and flip videos!
Great job on this one Jer !
Thank you sir!
thanks mate i'll be doing my 06 hummer transmission asap as well, cheers
No problem. Below is a link to a video that helped me do mine. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck! czcams.com/video/3O0vGfiQ7EI/video.htmlsi=WhgiRSpHxSj7GQJN

1 day solid off this video
I'm gearing up to do mine right now. Your video was pretty straight forward informative. I'm in Texas, but understand Canadian quite well , lol. Good content buddy.
Thank you very much! I've put around 1000 km (64 miles) on the truck, and it's still working! If you haven't found it already, here's a more detailed video I used for my job. czcams.com/video/3O0vGfiQ7EI/video.htmlsi=zjTHdG34SZRvy-cY
High Five!
i replace mine , i remove the dash at first but i found out if you cut off the aluminum hose 3 inch after the bend you can slide out the heater core and use rubber heater hose to attach when installing a new heater core since the motor side is metal hose . i also realized the fitting of the heater core is pinch pressed and get work out over time then leak
Cheap? Yes. Good? No.
Enjoy getting paint on your hands
Excellent video and keep up the great work..”💯✅👌
Thank you very much! I appreciate the comment 🤟
@@RegenAutomotive no worries because your video was right on point and after I saw your video I’m sure if I just take my time I could actually drop my 4L60E from my 1997 Chevy C1500 myself now and go ahead and replace it myself..” yes indeed!💯👌

April fouls
LOL. April fools, Armor All is actually good! 😅
Hi I also have a 2012 Kia Sedona minivan I got mine with 116,000km now it has 149,540km I am the second owner I keep my oil changed every 6000km or once a year. Are these rode bearings a common issue on these 3.5 V6 engines? My issues were door lock actuator motors are junk other then that I haven't had any issues
Unfortunately, most Kias/Hyundais have rod bearing issues. The best thing you can do is keep up on your oil changes and monitor for metal in the oil.
"Simple" he says.. You were such a sweet summer child in the beginning 😂
1.9 TDi swap
Might be valves you might have to re adjust your valves
Is that a Blackstone hat?
Yes lol

Super informational!
I don't believe you. That's obviously sped up and you did not rebuild it that fast.
No that’s in real time I was there
Can confirm. @Trulitty was there.
Can't wait for it to be dropped in the Yukon!
LOL. Hopefully it works 🤞
Nice work!

I’ve learned over the years to start at trailer wiring. 9/10 times the plug has been damaged in one way or another.
