Id like to know what your overhead/management fee is. 20-25%? Has to be for that price.

I thought a huge point of a barndo was to go cheaper. I went on their site and it says 300k for 1200 sq foot? Thats more then a block house in my area (could get a even bigger block house for that price). I live in florida as well it nots like im in a super cheap area. They finessing people out here what the hell....

How do I get a plan for this exact build without the shop attached? Potentially thinking about building a silo into that left side instead of the shop, think it'd be a pretty sweet setup.

I love the homes y'all build, but I'm planning a barndo to save money. 200k plus to me isn't feasible.

We're really wanting to build a barndominium in the next couple of years. Do you recommend anyone in the southwest Virginia area that sells and builds them? I cant really find a whole lot of information in my area.

I'd love this, it's the perfect size, only thing I'd change is splurge on a basement foundation, that added entertainment area with a bar, bath w/shower, man cave with a projector and an exercise room, put it on a slope with the backend exposed and have an additional back porch off a slider door. I'd move that utility closet by the boys rooms behind that office and put the staircase there and have the utility room in the basement.

Ice machine and space for espresso machine for the bar area would be great addition

Meh. Nice job overall, but several features (at least for me) are a waste of space and money. The Bar, Wine Room, Wet Island and the kitchen is too compact. Also, the last two houses I have had built I completely omitted bathtubs. If you don't have small children, then tubs are a waste. I stopped having 'baths' when I was six or seven. Too each their own I guess.

Honestly, I understand. With Inflation ,materials and labor costs on the rise you have to charge more but if you’re looking to build a 4,000sqft home and a 2,000 sqft shop like we are that’s between $740,000-$810,000 and that’s not accounting upgrades. I rather be my own contractor and sub out everything to save money but I respect what you guys do.

Wow. This is the perfect home!

Too much open room - its going to be loud cooking / cleaning etc - tv on its a loud museum type atmosphere. - So build me a wall around the kitchen- and at least a wall on both sides of the living room- take out some of these windows which are liabilities- with out interior wall separating the kitchen its going to be loud... I would make the bunk beds down the hall- grand kids get loud through your interior thin walls.

I love looking at this home but I want the finished price on it to discuss with my husband.

Ugliest barndo ever inside and out. This place was slapped together with money and no brains. There is absolutely Nothing attractive about the colors, finishes, or design. Its like a 5 yr old went to town on chief architect. From the Doors hung wrong to all the "custom ship lap" that doesn't line up to the 2010 grey walls, to the zigzag porch.

I have read comments new houses costing $200 to $300 a square foot. Just the living quarters could cost $336k to $504k. Barns sadly do not have good loan or resale value as houses. I am sure they are less maintenance but not as pretty. I have wanted a barn house all my life. Recently I was told barn kits have came down. You can get a 30'×60' for around 18k with out doors, window and concrete. But I have a feeling the economy keeps going down houses will start getting cheaper as people default on them.

How is the sqf cost on the actual house the same as the sqf cost for porches, carport and shop???

I thought he said $120/sq foot in another video and now also $185/sq foot. That is a gigantic difference. Was it inflation or a home with more upgrades? You can build a normal house for that price.

Not a bad price for custom. If you did this in Florida it would be well over a million. Material cost expensive now and lots of nice things in this build. I have been in Real Estate over 41 years with Remax. Houses prices are up all over. Bad for the poor first time buyers.😢
