I need a meter that will do micro farads will this work?
No. This meter is terrible
@@aiyogarage What do you recommend that will do it?
@@cactusladysouth1000 there’s a company on Amazon called Astro AI. They have some meters in this price range that’ll be able to measure capacitance. Should be able to help you get sorted out 👍
Dude I just troubleshooted my network at my plant as an electrical supervisor and narrowed it down to a bad fiber connection, I got it fixed and nobody thank me LOL there a bunch of jealous Morons, but this still goes to my resume and now I can provide more services to my own clients.
That’s awesome! Has to be one of the best feelings in the world. Good job 👍
W lol
How old are they?
😂 they’re old enough
I have This code and a po0016 crank/cam correlation position sensor A code on my Toyota 3.3 v6, changed timing belt and verified its marks, changed vvt solenoids, changed the cam and crank sensors with used ones, changed the oil and still have this code. Even good compression. New sparks plugs and coils ..I don’t know what to do
Oh no I’m sorry to hear that. Must be very frustrating. In this instance you’ll probably want to take it to a shop for an official diagnostic. Could be a circuit issue, a module issue, or something overlooked when the timing job was performed. I would use scope data to review the cams and crank waveform data and compare it to a know good as a start. Hope everything works out for you 👍
@@aiyogarage by module, you mean the ECM OR computer? And is it dangerous to drive with the code?
@@joepearlzz8504 yes I mean the ECM, in your case it would probably be considered a PCM. As long as the timing was done correctly, it shouldn’t be dangerous. However, your vehicle emissions could be affected by this issue. Would be best to get it sorted out before causing further issues
@@aiyogarage thanks, does this code cause any symptoms if the timing was done correctly. I’m thinking it was since all the marks match up. Idles and starts fine. I do have 02 Sensor code already and maybe an exhaust leak.
@@joepearlzz8504 without going through the process myself, I wouldn’t be able to speak further on the matter. I would encourage you to seek a diagnostic and get it resolved.
Electrolytic Capacitors don't like AC.
Grease your bearings
how to test for car fuses?
FLUKE 117 !!!
Wtf!!! Thought it said this was easy lol I'm taking it to the dealer lol
I should call her.
😅
Very Good!
Excellent, thanks
You bet! Thanks for watching 👍
Great video thank you!
You bet! Thanks for watching!
awesome thanks

Just starting out fitting telematics in vehicles, going forward which Multimeter do you think will benefit me the most?
Honestly looking into an oscilloscope would be your best bet. That’ll allow you to see your CAN signal. Otherwise, almost any multimeter would be fine for checking for voltage. You should check out the next video I have in this series 👍
The CL800 can measure both AC and DC current with the clamp (the CL700 can only measure AC current with clamp).
Yeah I didn’t notice until I got it out of the package and started reviewing the features. Still a great clamp that’s accurate
I always say you get what you pay for .. No you don’t definitely need a Fluke 87V for automotive use but a decent meter in the $150 price range will be worth it . I use the Fluke 115 mainly for automatic diagnostic work and it’s spot on accurate and responds fast.
That’s clever! Thanks for the tip
You bet!
Pls explain
This meter isn’t good. I have a video performing a review on it czcams.com/video/_AebZG-HlMc/video.htmlsi=CTWG5KvRhfLgfn_Q
When the pedal starts bouncing its time for new rotors
lol at that point you’ve probably needed rotors for sometime
Please enlightenment me my
I have a video coming out tonight that explains why this meter is garbage
What book is that?
I say it at the end of the video. It’s also listed on my store in my bio! Go check it out!
As an electrical engeering student, please dont use these
Why?
Coz we don't want people to kill themselves
The brave.. keyboard warrior.. has retreated 😂
Diag guys use test lights all of the time. You don't know what you are talking about.
@@Mr2004MCSS there it is 👍
this somehow happened on my mustang while it was running and it died out i just found out thats what it wsa took me quite a bit of time. now to try and get the broken bolt out
Best of luck my friend! Hope it goes well 👍
👍🏼
No need to crimp ?!
Not on solder sleeves. The solder provides the bond and strength. I’m also not a huge fan of crimps in general.
@@aiyogarageThanks. I tought that on a véhicule soldering was not too good because of the vibration. Like my travel trailer electric brakes. I used crimp and heat shrink. Could I have used these solder sleeves?
@@projet2907 As long as they’re of acceptable quality there shouldn’t be any issue with solder sleeves. I’m sure there are plenty of debates around which is better. Crimps can be a really strong mechanical connection, but unless you have calibrated crimpers, your crimp strength can very from crimp to crimp. This is where you can start to get into IPC 620 Cable and Wire harness standards. As long as you have a strong connection, that has weatherproofing, you should be fine.
Lol,, book of spells,, ,, shop towel dipped in snow ,,, electricity is magic 🪄 good stuff 🙌🏻⚡️
I mean.. it kind is.. right🤷🏼♂️😅 and thank you for the comments.
@@aiyogarage It sure is 😅
Cool explanation !!
lol thank you!
Thanks for sharing these tips keep up the good work
Thank you! I have more coming out tonight. Glad you’re enjoying them
Bro super beneficial super detail
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks
You bet! I have tons more on meters on my channel.
@@aiyogarage Will check It out :-0)
My generators valve doesn’t go all the way up the left one how do I fix this ?
Sounds like something could be damaged. I would start with a good visual inspection on your threads
What if I’m getting p014 and p300 on 2014 Nissan Altima do you think it’s a solenoid valve issue?
Could be 🤷🏼♂️ need more data to make the call
@@aiyogarage rough idle car does a little shake. Also recently got a tune up and oil change so I don’t think that’s the issue, every video I’ve seen with my problem or readings is saying perhaps it’s the valve but idk man 😢
@@hugomitty5759I had the same codes on my 2006 Altima. I can’t help ya, I junked that pos the same day but figured I’d let you know it’s common in altimas.
@@haVockMoDz I got it all fixed the solenoid valves was the problem haha
@@haVockMoDz it was just my exhaust valve but I changed all 3 no problems since
Thank you so much for this instructional video! Very concise and clear

Great video! I don't know how to get these videos more advertised but you explain this stuff better than almost anyone I've seen, and great visual aids.
Thank you so much!
Measuring resistance on a live source is just stupid
I get that, but some people are still learning. Thank you for your input
Thx cool vid

Step one: Stop using green coolant. Step two: Aquire coolant flushing machine. Got it coach! 👌🏻
😁
That doesn't help 😒
Well I can’t troubleshoot it for you 🤷🏼♂️ just trying to let you know there’s a lot more than just a little sensor in there.
@@aiyogarage No... but you could go through troubleshooting process if you knew how.
@aiyogarage That's like someone saying they have a misfire on cylinder 1 and someone else says, yeah that could be a spark plug, injector, coil, piston ring, bad ground or open circuit to name a few... good luck 😂 then why I even put your 2 cents in... that information did nothing to help. I'm not trying to be rude... I'm just frustrated lol
@@tru6803 I understand. This video is more meant for someone that doesn’t have much of an understanding of how much can be involved in engine timing. Timing codes are common and I know a lot of people probably get their pcm scanned at an auto store, buy a new sensor or solenoid, throw it in, and then are really puzzled why it hasn’t fixed the issue. If you’re going to diagnose a timing issue, it’s not going to be a one minute short. Going to be a lot of homework. I would consider checking out Diagnose Dan, South Main Auto Channel, Scanner Danner, or Pine Hollow Diagnostics.
Great review! Thank you. No nonsense like many other videos. They can't get over the price and have to act lame.
Oh I had no idea. I try not to watch other reviews on meters so I don’t accidentally copy their ideas or opinions. I think for the price you really can’t beat the product they’ve developed.
I have almost the same issue with a 98 Dodge Neon, i think i'm going to use the same method of sacrificing some old sockets. Thanks for the video 👍🏻
You bet! Hope it works out!
Thanks!
You bet!
Dammit man,,,thank u for advanced I'm responsible adult video

People , change your darn OIL!!
I mean that can help, but sometimes it’s just design flaws that’ll do you in
😂
