Ive tried serenegeti, they are good. However, maui jims are actually better. Compare lens to lens and maui wins. Ive compared so many brands ive lost count. I have not found a better lens than mj. Vuarnet is close though. You will not find a better lense if you buy 1000 dollar sunglasses as they just put simple cr39 plastic lenses in them. Maui jim glass lenses are the best lenses you can get. Yes, there are better frames, but it will cost you. Not just in money, but the sacrifice of the maui lenses. Everything else is a downgrade.

Panerai has fallen so far. Every model looks the same. They need to try something different like a dress watch or something to add to their arsenal. It would be like rolex just making variations on their sub as their whole line of watches. Boring.

You can't beat a miroku I have 2 ,I've had more expensive berettas etc over the years but nothing compares to the fit and level of finish ,and how they shoot for the money

These radiomir base logo are entry level point Panerais, very affordable at retail but not desirable at all, especially on the secondary market. Your friend would not have lost quite as much if he bought a pre-owned Luminor or Submersible 1950 case in stainless steel, they tend to move a lot faster among the modern Paneristi. Let's be real, the old guard from 20 years ago are fading to the sunset, the only PAM they buy nowadays are vintage or pre-vendome pieces.

The mistake was buying new. I've purchased (preowned) about 20 Panerai in the past few years. I still have the majority of them, but the ones that I've sold on have (collectively) net me a profit approaching 5-figures. I don't there is a better value out there today than Panerai... pre-owned. If you buy them at the right price, and are willing to take the time to sell them properly, you can experience a watch and not a lose anything. Of course that presupposes that you like the watch, as I do. I've picked up a few precious metal Panerai this year and they have represented even better value than the stainless steel versions. I have other brands, including Rolex, but the Panerai side of my collection easily gets 2/3 of the wrist time.

For the sake of argument on the Hulk mentioned in this video, box and papers are the bare minimum. Watch should be unpolished, preferably with the original purchase receipt included and movement checked by independent bonafide watchmaker. Otherwise 🙅

Tudor are therefore moving upmarket to fill the void, hence the slimmer watches and METAS movements. The all gold black bay 58 with the green dial is further evidence of where Tudor is trying to position themselves, as it’s their first all gold watch. So, Tudor are not Rolex’s pup, Tudor are the new Rolex tool watch brand.

Riding the Rolex tail is a good way to sell watches to people who don’t want to buy used watches (because that’s the only way to get a steel professional model Rolex…which could be a fake). I think the ordinary consumer can buy a Rolex as long as it’s made of gold. The recent releases by Rolex show where they are going…to an all gold lineup. Tudor is better value than Rolex if you’re buying a watch. If you’re buying kudos, then get that solid gold deep sea.

Tudors are all Rolex 5 digit copies. Shameful copies. I don't see Cartier looking like ALS or JLC, nor Omega looking like Blancpain or Breguet . Neither do LV's look like Zenith. Belonging to the same group doesn't mean they can blatantly copy designs outright .

I agree that Tudor is possibly used as a test bed for Rolex, but disagree that people buy Tudor because they either can’t get, or afford a Rolex. I think Miroku are a funny bunch, Why? The cardboard bloody box! Saying that though my grade 5 MK38 Trap is an utter delight to shoot, full hand fore end which I like very much indeed. I have a B725 which I also love but my go to would be my MK38 it is beautiful and fits me very well indeed. I will keep my 725 as it shoots well for me, but wish it had a trap forend! My mistake I know... Anyway good shooting peeps and enjoy your sport!

Unless it is your grail watch, buy it pre-owned at a discount. If you hate it, you can probably not take a big hit when you sell it.
