It’s a cruel fate to go from being a sweet and kindhearted person like Alicent was to a queen who has no choice but to be the complete opposite. She had to be a savage. This is a brilliant evolution of a character. Like Sansa and Arya underwent in Game of Thrones.

It's crazy how different their relationship is in the show versus the one in the books... In the show, there are certain moments where it seems there is almost something romantic between them. Meanwhile, in the books they have an evil step-monther & step-daughter dynamic. I like they made Alicient more mellow in the show, and the age gap more similar between them. I I wonder how they are going to navigate this in the following seasons.

Just something I caught but I could be wrong: If you listen closely, when Halbrand takes Galadriel's arm, the music changes in mood. It sounds powerful, but the choir in the background deepens into a more villainous tone, as if there's something wrong with the seemingly good moment. Halbrand's theme is played, but it's different than how it usually sounds because he's much closer to power. Love seeing the little clues across the show.

Two things can be true about this scene, although you can dislike Alicent (as I do) she’s entirely justified in her seeking of redemption, and Aegon got what he deserved, but handled it like a badass.

He was bullied for years about not having a dragon .When he finally gets a chance to claim 1 He does After he came back from riding her He was confronted by 4 children. 2 of them blamed him for getting that dragon because it belonged to thire mother . But dragons are not objects or pets to be inherited or stolen . As soon as you find a free dragon doesn't matter who it belonged to you can claim it . If that's the way then leana stole the dragon too. So he didn't do anything wrong. Because he she was on the same team whit those 2 children that bullied him he then he said a pig would suit her 1 runs at him. He pushes her away. The other runs at him and punched him . He punched her back 1 of the boys who bullied him ran to him. They pushed him to the ground and were kicking him beating him 4v1 .Mind you 1 of them literally brought a knife whit which means he planned on stabbing him even before the fight started. He is on the ground being beaten by 4 kids. He feels around and finally picked up a rock to protect himself. Then he pushed them all away. He gets up 1 of the children who bullied came at him to punch him then he managed to hold his throat. He raised the stone then and said something about thire father the one he was holding said his father is dead. He lowered the rock and said to the other brother m. He doesn't know does he bastards. Then that boy pulled out a knife. He kept trying to stab aemond and aemond was dodging him. They came at him again he pushed them away and stood there for like a few seconds. He then raised the rock and still didn't being it down .He held it for a few seconds and that gave the chance 1 brother threw sand in his eye and the other cut out his eye. Lucerys didn't do it to protect his brother. He had already planned on harming aemond even before the fight started. They had many chances to run away but they stayed like when they threw sand in his eye. He was distracted so he can't kill or hurt anyone since he can't see. They were supposed to run away he can't see so how can he hurt them but they stayed just so they could slash his out You say he deserves it For what being attacked by 4 kids or for trying to defend himself Then people are like what did you expect lucerys to do .Mabye not attack him and keep beating him. Here is a better question. What was aemond supposed to do just lay in the ground so they can keep beating him or should he ask them nicely to stop. They left him no choice. Besides lucerys didn't pull out the knife to protect his brother. He pulled it out because aemond called them bastards and he had every right to hate them. They bullied him for years. Aemond definitely didn't deserve it. Why don't you go watch the scene again or search on CZcams A video named is aemond wrong. IDK.. It's hardly "double standards" when they did different things and for different reasons. They're different characters: Aegon is a sadistic spoiled kid, like a less dangerous Joffrey. Daemon is a ruthless chess player, more comparable to Tyrion Lannister or Littlefinger. Everyone's a horrible person in these shows, some are just horrible in a more compelling and badass way.
