First time using my Ford Performance winch in my F-350 Tremor
#winch #tremor
Got to use my winch on my truck for the first time to help out someone. It’s the factory Ford Performance Winch by Warn in the Tremor package in my 2022 F-350. I was using the wireless remote that comes with it.
Remember to be safe when winching. Know your failure points and stand out of the way of line.

Overview of wiring my winch to an Upfitter switch in my F-350
zhlédnutí 2KPřed rokem
I installed my Ford Performance Warn Winch thanks to the help from @PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod . I decided to add a Solenoid to interrupt the power to my winch with one of my up fitter switches in the cab for added security. I used this solenoid kit from Warn: WARN 62132 Power Interrupt Kit with Battery Lead, Hardware, Solenoid, Switch and Wiring www.amazon.com/dp/B000CQFVN8?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_d...

    I did something similar,, I cut off all but 12" inches of the lead, Then got a Hitcar 12v to 5v DC adapter off amazon and spliced it in, that got rid of all that extra crap and now have less to deal with. used the same Motominded headlight adapter.

    Please remove those wires from the battery cable cinch nut and put them on the stud in the actual terminal. You will need to drill the positive terminal and add a stud. This a high current draw when actually in use and you really want that making full contact with those battery terminals.

      @@bryan-norden I am seriously contemplating getting the KTM. It will either be the 350 or the 500. I am leaning a little to the 500 because I have been on the 450 so long. However, I am sure the 350 has a lot of power too. I'm still on the fence between the two. The price point for both is very close so it's not an issue. I like what KTM has done with the rear suspension by eliminating that linkage and bolting the shock directly to the swingarm.

    • @bryan-norden
      @bryan-norden Před 3 lety

      @@stevodakine1 Yeah I love my 350 and the PDS. It makes it simpler without the linkage I feel. I don't notice anything different from my research since I am not doing any insane jumps. As for the 350 vs the 500 I am not sure since I am new to riding. The 350 has plenty of power and torque for me. Super easy to pick up and move around on the trails too. It keeps up with the 450 or 500s on trails. But if you want more power and speed then go with the 500.

  • @advsquared

    That area can be tricky to ride in the wet because it has a lot of clay in the dirt which becomes very slippery. At least you got the first crashes out of the way, I can't count the amount of times I have dropped my bike. Really curious about the audio you muted?!

    • @bryan-norden
      @bryan-norden Před 3 lety

      Haha yeah I had some good break in crashes and added a few scratches to the bike 😢. I had a crash over the handle bars being dumb slowing down too much in a berm. However, my GoPro memory card got corrupted so I didn’t get that on film. Would have been great footage. I think that might have affected the audio as well.
