It’s plastic and metal but it’s damn good for the price I paid. Female razors are sooo expensive! This one came with 10 replacements. I like rubbing an ice cube on my face after a hot shave and I personally think it really has a great effect getting no irritation and a really close shave.

Is there anyway to test to make sure the gas is actually turned off before removing the rod? I’m always a little antsy about messing around with gas. I’ve had a few plumbing valves on my sinks, go bad and not actually turn off the water when turned. I know it is not the same but still worth asking.

I have memories shaving with such razors when as a kid i first started shaving. they were by no means pleasant. maybe i was doing something wrong? but with how expensive modern blade systems are, i might dig out that vintage razor from our of the shed and give it a try.
