Thanks I have see 4 of those videos on Red bluff. This was a good one. Thanks for sharing it with us. Yes this one was Great for really showing the MGC. 🙂👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
If I ever go back to Meridian I am going to visit this place. I can hardly wait. 🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍
Mississippi also has it's own Grand Canyon not too far from Meridian. A must see! czcams.com/video/WV1442pLgoY/video.html
OK thanks, It's not red bluff. I have seen 4 videos on that place. Very much like the Grand Canyon out west. I enjoyed those videos.
@@gowestusa8959 Oh it is red bluff. Have seen 4 videos on that. One on Ms roads the first time.
@@gowestusa8959 Thanks I will watch it the 5th time.
Nice video!
Thanks!
Love this place it's pure heaven to live here ❤

You might want to check out the Mud Island, River Walk when you go czcams.com/video/OAF00vSWf1w/video.html
Is this all walking or is a drivable
You drive to the state park and then you walk the trails. Here's a link to the park's website. tnstateparks.com/parks/rocky-fork Here's a link to the other trail I hiked in the park. czcams.com/video/JzNzo0lZxl8/video.html
it's pronounced Lu-ka-chew-kai (pronounced like sky, but drop the S)
Yeah totally mispronounced that one!
We have driven there several times. Beautiful view, even in the fall and winter. Very peaceful.
Yeah, I really enjoyed the visit!
Fuck ive made this drive SO MANY TIMES yall dont know... well...u probabbly do but still
lol
Did Bear Creek-Outcroppings today. Nice light moderate hike with a small scramble. Thankful for great content.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I was there at the shut ins 1 month before the collapse in 2005. When I climbed the tower, the trap door to get on top was padlocked. However, there was a swarm of bees that did not like me being there and started to attack me. That set of steps gets pretty shaky when you try to hurry down it.
Time to try it again? Padlock's gone and so are the bees. Steps still pretty shaky.
@@gowestusa8959 Too old and fat now! At the time I wondered why bees would be that dang high off the ground. Oddly enough when I talked to a guy at work about it, he had been there years before me and the bees at the top chased him off also! Seems like they would be lower on the tower, for the size of a bee that thing is like Everest! Maybe they just get a kick out of watching people scamper down the tower? I did like the view for the short time they let me look.
@@gowestusa8959 I notice in your video at about 3:27 to 3:32 what looks like bees! But it looks very windy, maybe they just could not get to you!
LOL, nice catch. Most definitely appeared to be a few bees. A kinder, gentler bee after 2 decades, very accommodating to visitors.
I've done the East summit trail before years ago. I was really out of shape and miserable until I got to the top and it was all worth it. I'm in a lot better shape now but was curious how much more difficult is the west summit trail versus the east. Any thoughts? I'm heading back there in a few weeks. Thanks for the vid.
The West Summit trail is said to be not as hard as the East Summit trail. It's .7 mile for 734 feet constant uphill. If you made it before you can make it again especially if you're in better shape now. It's a good workout with beautiful views, I really enjoyed it. Surely a lot more crowded on the West side.

Couldn't have said it better myself!
This bridge was featured in, "Left 4 Dead 2" as a set piece for the final level in the 'Parish' Campaign.
Well, that's quite interesting to find out. I was wondering why there was so much channel viewing traffic on this video. The quote on the Left 4 Dead 2 Fandom Wiki site is "Veterans Memorial Bridge is a vertical-lift bridge crossing the Mississippi River in New Orleans, Louisiana. It serves as the main objective for the Survivors and is seen throughout the campaign, The Parish of Left 4 Dead 2." But this bridge in reality is not a vertical-lift bridge. There are 2 vertical-lift bridges in New Orleans including the Danziger Bridge and the Florida Avenue Bridge. So maybe the game took some creative license with the facts on the bridge. Works for me! Thanks for the comment!
Is 89 to Page, AZ 2 lane or 4 lane?
It's a 2 lane road.
Beautiful views! Thanks for highlighting the Upper Reservoir.
You're welcome! Here are more views of the reservoir from much closer at nearby Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park if you're interested. czcams.com/video/xv7hLf55smI/video.html

@@gowestusa8959 I know that's the truth. We used to live in Pensacola and I hated everytime we had to go to Mobile. Just don't go to Prichard lol
The good ol' Dolly Parton!
I guess you have to see it at the right time of day and right direction to better appreciate the local name. - The bridge has red warning lights atop the parallel support arches which, when combined with the shape of the supporting arches when approached from certain directions, have caused the bridge to gain the nickname "Dolly Parton Bridge".
I got two videos of it going to port canaveral and coming back from port canaveral
I'm excited you finally got to see the Stanton Energy Center again in person and to shoot your own video of it as well. You should post your videos for everyone to see.
I see you've already posted a video. czcams.com/users/shortsxt85M4XHuqk That's Stanton right?

I got to see the Stanton energy center today and it meant a lot to me that I finally got to see an old friend again even though it’s just a power plant. The autistic side of me
Seeing familiar places again that bring back good memories is like seeing an old friend, I totally get that.
The Stanton energy center is probably the main reason why I have the wristband channel

I drive it on June 2023 and our eyes werw not big enough !. What is your cam the pictures are so nice, thank you
Glad you enjoyed the drive! That was shot 4 1/2 years ago on a SONY Handycam HDR-CX440 9.2 megapixels with the pop feature on to enhance the colors. Great picture and zoom but no built-in stabilization. So, the shots are just lucky I have a pretty stable hand when driving. I now use a combination of GoPro Hero 10 and I Phone 12 Max both of which will produce great quality picture's but also give you a stable picture pretty much all the time.
@@gowestusa8959 great ! thank you to take the time to respond, Bruno
Brought back some good memories, my brother and I spent a lot of time in and around the quarry back in the middle 60's.
Really cool place to explore. Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome video! What I want to know is what stops where you making!
I stopped at all 13 of the named scenic viewpoints heading West on Oklahoma Highway 1 from the Oklahoma / Arkansas state line to the Talimena National Scenic Byway entrance sign 35 miles West. It's a beautiful drive. Even more so I imagine in the Fall with the leaves changing color.
89A
No, it's just 89 see 3:07. This video is from the Grand Canyon heading East on 64 to 89. 89A is much further South starting just South of Flagstaff and running South through Sedona all the way down to just North of Prescott.
I changed the video title and description to better clarify the location.
🤫 Another Northshore treasure. Please don't let Landry take it away
Looks like there's plenty of room on the Northshore to just put one somewhere else, they do have good food.
HaHaHa -- That was a quick trip. It usually takes me over 20 minutes to get across Pontchartrain.
It's much faster when you're on vacation.
Thanks for this video. It was a nice way to revisit one of my favorite trails without having to drive 1200 miles.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Just saw this video today. We have been in some of the same places. Chesler Park might be my very favorite trail. I've done a 12 mile loop twice and it's just a very special place.
I really enjoyed hiking there and I agree it is a special place. I appreciate the well-marked trails as it would be so easy to get turned around in there. That was shot on my old equipment before we met so a lot more shaky than but still did a decent job. Here's part 1 of the hike from Elephant trailhead to Chesler Park. czcams.com/video/d0pbfNQZtzw/video.html
Great job 👏🏿
Thanks!
I took this route on my way to the airport..but can't remember the road since I was on GPS and I a bit of an emergency..what road is this?I recall some parking areas as well
That's highway 375 Woodrow Bean Transmountain Drive running straight through the Franklin Mountains. My drive was West. There are some pullouts and trailhead parking along the way. Wish I could have spent more time there exploring.
Beautiful area.
Agreed!
awesome video, love the mountains . It must be so awesome to travel to these beautiful places. I enjoyed this video and I'm sure you are enjoying doing them as well. great job , keep up the great work.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! It is beautiful in person and then I get to re-experience it by watching my videos over again later. Happy to share!
oh my goodness, I love this place , was there many years ago. so much fun. And during the day you walk the ground , just beautiful, there is history behind it. flowers , a garden walk. oh the restaurant down in the valley , the food was soo good. also not too far from there is 'Wild Animal Safari ' in La Grange awesome place check it out.
They've got a butterfly center as well. czcams.com/video/4w9RDp6wWb0/video.html I did not know there was an animal safari so close, it's actually only 8 miles from Callaway Gardens.
what an awesome video , beautiful land untouched by man , a since of freedom . awesome job with the camera as well, love how the sun was so beautiful ,not too bright . and the beautiful mountains , breath taken . the music is perfect for the video. love how you stop and do a panoramic view all around . this is the best review I have ever given to the video's I watch, but as I watch video's on small towns and enjoy them all, this was a peaceful drive and I needed that right now .thank you.
Those panoramic views are so amazing in person. You're the only car on the road for miles in the middle of nowhere with the beauty of nature all around. You can just stop on the side of the road, even in the middle of the road if you wanted, and no one will be by any time soon. Yes, total freedom, I love those shots. The destination for this drive was the national monument which has it's own beautiful scenic drive if you want to view it. czcams.com/video/gaM3Io_9aZk/video.html
Tree poeples
Yep!
We usually stay at a nearby Clanton motel on our way to the panhandle. Been to Peach Park many times and it's a fun place to visit.
I'm only about 50 miles away from Clanton, but that was my 1st time actually stopping to visit on the way to the beach. The peach cobbler and ice cream were fantastic! That's a 760 mile haul for you down to the coast from St. Louis, you definitely needed a good stop.
was in Memphis in March. Loved it so much. If I was single, I would move there in a heartbeat.
Your spouse may want to move as well?

I used to live right there on the water at the Ozarks. My parents would take the boat out & we would swim in the near ice-cold water over to the shore & hike up to the castle ruins. Moved out to Phoenix AZ about 10 years ago, but not a day goes by that I don't miss that place.
Glad the video brought you some good memories! I really enjoyed exploring the area. I flew out to Phoenix last year to visit the city and places in Arizona I had not yet seen. Lots of really awesome places there in your state. Here's where I've been if you're interested - czcams.com/play/PLDhx7QVCkH1WabAdejOF4Tf6qZleGq3bL.html Stay cool, I know it's an oven out there now!
Really nice State Park. I spent the better part of a day hiking all of the trails a couple of years ago and there is a nice variety of scenery.
Yeah, I really enjoyed it! The trails around the spring were closed due to storm damage but there was still plenty left to make for a great day.
The rock work and railings remind me of the ones at the canyon in Fort Payne, Alabama. Great video as always!
Thanks! Yes, Little River Canyon has that same look. I'm sure you've been over to Oak Grove to see Buck's Pocket, it has that look as well.
I was in St. Louis in 1974 and never did go to the top of The Gateway Arch, but I did touch the south base of it. Impressive structure, I must say.
It's hard to imagine anyone going up there when you're standing on the ground looking up at those little windows.
Nice job on the video. I hope the rest of your trip went well.
Yes, it was pretty awesome! More videos to come. Lots of views to catch in Missouri and Arkansas. I subscribed to your channel to check out the cold war sites there and on your website.

At 5:50 there's a huge parking area there that would definitely accomodate a car camp. Don't know if authorities would actually check to see if anyone is up there and run you off or ticket you.
