    I am building one now and in silver. Iv gone with the c2 16v engine as mine is broken. Throttle bodies like these. I an thinking fast road cams? And ported head? Lightened flywheel and then hopefully 🙏

    Hi, very close, Bacci box and bacci plate diff, I think I should have gone for more compression then stock 10.5:1 though.

    @thorkilds1 Hi the cams are Colombo Medium Race cams with guy croft pullies, max intended rpm is 8k but I over rev it at fast circuits like Silverstone GP to circa 8.5k, it has GC tripple race springs on it plus a who load of other bits it would prob rev a lot higher but the std header means torque is dropping off fast at those speeds. I'll have a look at your vid thanks. You might want to join Guy Croft's forum as there's load of info there. Rich

    Nice demo .like also the sound off the engine. I have the same engine in myX1/9 Abarth replica. One Thing i like to know ? what camchafts do you use ,and what is your max RPM. Mine is on CZcams Serch TORKILL FIAT. Thanks i enjoy the rest off your driving

    That's a very impressive output for a 1600. Is that the ex-CCC Dave Walker setting the engine up? I'd read something that said that with a throttle body set and headers you could get over 200bhp out of the 2.0l duratec motor. What sort of output would you expect from the Zetec without the modified cams and head?

    bodies are about 1000 GBP, and the manifold is from Guy Croft. You need to alter the throttle cable nipple, change the fuel hose ends to JIC fittings. Get adaptors from the manifold to the brake servo. You need a fixed pressure regulator and an air box with filter, reverie like the one I have in the video is best. Oh the ecu need to be crank/TPS based, the std ecu may well be possible to be used with use of the RPlabs IAW programming kit which would save expense on aftermarket.

    Very nice, your TB setups are the nuts! Minimal restriction to airflow without the throttle shaft, then you can use a smaller throttle bore and gain higher velocity, I would sooner this setup to slide throttle since your Tb's would not be prone to stick open. Interesting what you say about fly by wire using parital throttle at low revs to have the best torque output, sounds like using the butterfly as a ventury to speed up airflow into the ports and pick up some low to mid range power?

    @ATPowerThrottles can you tell me what your st170 kit would b like with filter and exhaust? does new ecu change the digital dash? ,what would it be like on fuel when not caning it ? and the drivability on a day to day basis plus what sort of power could i expect im seriously considering one of your kits but need to kno what ill have to live with for 4-5 years many thanks mark

    Fuel injection is definately much better than weber's in a number of ways and your throttle bodies with no throttle shaft to block airflow are the best available by far. Weber's won't give the same performance but they cost an awful lot less and they can give very respectable results if tuned in properly.

    I totally agree rolling road figures can be wildly different, this car is a good example of that situation. I have heard people say carbs go out of tune a few times before and as an engine tuner I know the carbs can go slightly out of ballance over time with vibrations and certain non weber carb linkages that pull one carb against the other when on full throttle, as for the idles and main jetting I have never seen any of my engines ever go out of tune, so I don't believe this is true.

    What was the max bhp and torque figures @flywheel before with carbs and after with throttle bodies? In classic ford it said the engine made 180bhp on the dyno with carbs and made 170bhp in car with carbs..... The listed flywheel power figures on that graph say it only had about 145bhp before with carbs and 165bhp after.
