Bus Eireann | BYD D9UR ADL Enviro200EV EA3 (222-WH-806) | Service A2
A bus that hasn't appeared on the channel yet dispite being in service for quite a while. These are the EA class, a BYD D9UR ADL Enviro200EV meaning they're electric. Bus Eireann have been running theirs for the last two years on the Athlone Town services A1 & A2 however, Dublin Bus have only recently put theirs into service even though they were delivered at the start of 2023. Originally, the Dublin Bus batch were supposed to go on the O circular which is part of Bus Connects but the route has been pushed back more times than I can count. Only recently, have the Dublin EAs entered service on route 99 for the moment although more are due in soon. Despite that, nothing is really different with the EAs in Athlone and Dublin so I've filmed one here in Athlone to tick it off the list. Overall I find these quite nice to travel on, nice and smooth and sound different to how the EWs sound. It's also worth noting that Dublin Buses batch are equipped with the Bus Eireann style seating which I thought was interesting and unusual. I've only gotten around to filming one now as I've had a few failed attempts at filming these. This bus was serving Route A2 to Bellanamullia.

Go-Ahead's B7s are now off for the summer months but hopefully will return in September. AX497 started off in Harristown where it spent its entire Dublin Bus days until it was withdrawn. New to Phibsboro Garage in 2013 and part of the GT143-160 batch, the last batch of GTs for Dublin Bus. New to Conyngham Road in 2012 as part of the GT22-31 batch for route 151, the whole batch are still at Conyngham Road 12 years later. Loud and growly GT57 which is usually on the 41 corridor is seen operating on the southside of the 123. AX509 was always a Harristown bus and was part of the AX496-516 batch. It's been on and off “withdrawn” for a few years but this might be the final time. VWD11-20 were new in 2012 to Bus Eireann for city services. VWD11-14 ending up in Cork where they still are and VWD15-20 were new to Broadstone for the 103 before ending up in Drogheda later on with VWD17 in Dundalk for the 174 services. Definitely one of the better ones out of ‘Ards. My personal favourites still go to 2328 and 2875 though.

Sp 4 was one of the best early sps but sp 3 was my favourite

@@ChilternTransportProductions From Dublin Bus 2017. Ashbourne Connect ran it from 2018 until 2022 where it was withdrawn. It was up for sale for a while but no one was interested

Not really a fan of most of Phibsboro's GTs but there would be a few that I'd make an exception on. 148, 149, and 159 would have to be my top 3

A growly B9TL? Not very common as far as Dublin Bus standards
EV93 is pretty loud. I find it used to be more common but they've quietened them down over the years. Some of the GTs used to be really loud
This and 215, hands down, were as whiny as any AV got!

Aww.. now that sounds class! Sounds very much alike 2318 a bit.
It does remind me of 2318 but also of alot of AVs
Not only does this AX have SG dials like a good few of the Euro 4/5 buses have, but it also has that problem where if one little LED in the indicators goes, the system just picks it up as a blown bulb and even though the indicators flash normally, on the dashboard, they flash about 10 times faster. Only really noticed that though on AXs, EVs, and a handful of VTs
