I had issues trying to save edited name of HK-BMS ( Heltec )
I finally figured it out.. The manual does not explain this.
I'm sharing here for anyone that might be having same issues.

SHARP AQUOS TV "LC-60LE650U" flashes 3 slow, 1 fast. No back light or sound. Here's the fix.

Hi all, I'm sharing my knowledge with you all today. A customer brought me his SHARP AQUOS TV "LC-60LE650U" this fix might work for other similar model sets. It was not turning on at all, just flashing a code of 3 slow and 1 fast flash. After checking and looking on the net, I couldn't find a schematic. But did see quite a few people with the same issue, but no fix. the code seemed to relate to...

Im having the same problem with mine, i just order a new board
My problem exactly. Where can I purchase the regulator? Excellent video. Thanks
you can order them bout anywhere online.. just punch in the part number. I got mine from ebay..
Tanks for the video. I hace a 60 inch tv with the same problem. I Will chec tath regulator .
I will send you one litre of vodka if its Voltage Regulator on my TV mobo, almost same model, exactly same led flashing sequence. Just got a TV for free. Taking in my hand screwdriver to check tommorow. BR from Poland.
Good Luck
You helped to resolve my years of suffering 👍
Hello Sir, my sharp LC-60LE640U just has a blank screen with sound , I can see the screen get brighter when I change channels but still a blank screen, could this be the T Con board?
Great job Ray. I would wager that this video has temporarily postponed a few 1000 TVs' trip to the dump
Does yours also have a limit on the letters? I can put exactly one letter after the Standart device name.
no limits that i know of...
Thanks for the tip, but it is not entirely correct. You just need to add a space at the end of the name
Yeah that works. I think if you press on the word over the keyboard it just puts a space after it 😂.
I found the way how to change the name czcams.com/users/shortse28naqFbfO4?feature=share8
I had the same problem. Your hack worked but it looks like it just wants a space after the name. Go figure!
I replaced the entire power board and still get the exact blink code 3-1
I Read somewhere you have to enter service mode and reset error codes, press volume - and input then connect to power while pressing buttons, wait till the tv turn on
Nice job, but I wish you would have shown the replacement of the part.....
You made my day !!!! Thx for the tip.....
Hola colega Deberías de hacer el mismo video pero en Español Saludos desde Colima Colima México
Did you ever find out how to do it? I have the same problem.... Aaaaah OK. You did another Video with the solution. Thank you. czcams.com/video/mGbMm-t1Jv0/video.html
Glad you found it,, glad you understood as well..
This was driving me nuts xD Thanks man! Such an easy fix... well guess they need to code better.
Glad this helped you.. I'm not the best at explaining things, But i tried...
So here’s another trick hold channel down, volume up 30 seconds the three flashing lights will go off and TV will power up
That's not true.. If the regulator I Pointed out is bad, it will not power up with that so called trick...
Sharp LC42D
Hi Ray, thanks for your video. I have the same Sharp model... it's been an excellent TV, until recently. I was wondering if you or your readers have any experience with this model, regarding local digital channel reception (re: antenna)... We don't have cable (for channels), but currently are using internet sucessfully for internet channels like CZcams.... we cannot any longer receive any local digital channels My Sharp will no longer receive any local Digital channels (have done several resets, as per set-up, which has always worked in the past. I'm getting an error message "remove scrambled channels", which we never had this message in past years.... is there a digital tuner chip in the TV that might be defective?, or is this scrambling new? Thanks The antennae, cable & transformer have all been changed,
informative video....thanks!
Where can I fine a Regulator
Mine is aqous LC-50LE570X it has red standby and blue (switch on) but still no display no backlight no sound I tried to check the output voltage on standby it starts on 9v slowly going zero...do u have some advice for my tv?
Where can I get a new regulator ?
PS where can I buy that regulator from do I have to order it or can I go to like Best Buy or any local store to find it thank you
Hey what’s up man how you doing I had the same problem I got the same TV the only difference is I get sound but it’s a flashing light no picture I want to thank you have a blessed day
Mine changed. Not enough characters? Mine has 9
Hi Ray Thank you for the video I have the same TV model and the same symptoms unfortunately we don't see how you changed the regulator in the video is it possible to make another video where we see you change it as is it possible also to confirm the technical name of this regulator so that I can buy it online otherwise if you sell it it will be cool
please read the other comments.. If you have any electronics experience, then you can do it,,it's not complicated to change out the regulator..
@@rays.2480 thank you for your answer I checked all the comments but I did not find the regulator designation please give it to me please I will look for it on eBay
Good morning Mr., please I need a measurement if you have a A6069H chip of a tv SHARP between pins 7-8 and 3, I have 5 pieces and between those pins there is zero ohms, I want to be sure of that measurement to return them. Thank you very much.
Sorry, but I posted 2 years ago that i do not have this tv any more..I cannot help you or anyone else.
@@rays.2480 ok, thanks for answering, take care
Thank you sir sharing idea 👏👏👏👏
Hi ray I know its been a while since you posted this repair, it what is the reulator part number?
If you read my comments you'll see it... I ordered from Ebay...
Hi Mr. Ray: Thank you for sharing. I'm having the same issue. My Aquos LC-70LE640U. Can you replace the regulator if I send you the board?
i could replace the regulator, but i have no way to test the board afterwards. as i have said in previous post.. I no longer have the tv..it was a customer repair.
did you ever decide ??
nice job. I have a similar problem, hope im as luck as you thanks
Nice fix
Thanks you my TV works again, tkank you very much
Awsome... Was it the part i mentioned ?
Hi..my tv have power..but no sound, black screen..you have any solution?
sorry, no..
WHATS THE FIX,
Hi Ray, where did you find the a KIA378R12PI ( 12V Regulator with turn on control ) I have ordered two sets of regulators these are not the turn on control regulator? Can you please provide the manufacturer where you purchased your regulators? Thanks a million!
I have the same model... I've been having power freezes (power light on, black screen, no response to remote) for years...backlight has never functioned...but no flashing or error code... I have to unplug it, wait 10-15 minutes, then plug it back in... Assuming that It needs that time to disapate the charge... Do you think it's the same regulator causing it??? Thanks for posting this... :)
I have a similar issue with a lc55ub30u i just picked up off Facebook for free ordered all new boards for cheap off ebay I'm praying to jesus that after i replace all the boards it fixes it it's not hard to replace the leds i just don't want to have to resort to that and i truly don't think they're dead as I'm not positive but i think when i was tinkering with it they came on briefly at one point then shut off so I'm pretty sure it's power related
good luck...
@@rays.2480 im pretty confident it is the power board aswell as the leds plug into that and the power light comes on so I'm hoping the boards fix it if they don't idk whats going on i think it's unlikely that its the lcd itself or backlights but i could be wrong
I didnt see you've change the regulator bro..
Hi Ray, thanks for the video. I realize you may not know the answer to this, but I appreciate that you are taking the time to respond at least to other questions.. I am wondering where that turn on voltage, pin 4 on that regulator is getting its 3 volts from? That seems to be the problem with mine... I have 12v on pin one, but only millivolts on pins 2 and 4, I changed out the regulator thinking it was at fault, but after researching your video a few times I think I’m understanding that pin 4 needs to be getting 3 volts from somewhere in order to “turn on” and send voltage out of pin 2... is this correct? And do you know where it should be getting that voltage from? Thanks again!
Check your other voltages on that board. You should have 5V standby voltage for one on another white connector and others. You could also trace the circuitry back to see where your missing voltage on that pin comes from. I wish these videos would show the schematic, if possible, so we could follow the voltage paths.
It would be nice that you show how to change the regulator, for next time. Thankyou.
it's really easy if you have any electronics experience.. just desolder the pins and undo the heat sink.. nothing to it.
He should not repeat the mistake again
hola, me puedes decir que pieza se cambio?
Nice component level troubleshooting. Thanks for sharing.
Mr. Ray speaks the truth. Seems to be a common problem on this model power supply board. Same fix for a a 70" LC-70LE847U Sharp Aquos. In my case, the power LED was 2 slow and 5 fast which indicates display (panel) fault. Normally fatal but having nothing to lose I checked the regulator anyway. 8.4 volts on pin 2. I want to say I got the replacement KA378R12 off eBay but not sure, anyway they were 2 for around 10 bucks shipped. It's a readily-available part; look it up on Google. Make sure to remove the old thermal paste on the heat sink and apply new. Don't overdo it, a light even coat on the back of the part is fine. The TV's been running sweet as a first kiss for a year or so now. (I got it free off off the local Craigslist) 10 bucks well-spent!
I'm Glad you got your TV repaired.. Good Job..
I have a sharp aquos lc-60le550u and it looks identical to this and doesn't seem to have a backlight even though the panel comes on. do you believe this is the same issue and should I go ahead and purchase the same resistor? I don't have much experience but i can go buy a solder to make it happen
For a few bucks,,, what do you have to loose ?
Great vid..where did you buy part?
I can't remember, i think Ebay I have 4 spares i'd be willing to sell.. PM if interested.
@@rays.2480 any left?
Hallo there I hope u still here I also have a sharp but mine is the model LC-60LE635E It looks really similar to the model you have, the power supply board is the same and I have the same issue, no sound and no backlight. On my tv it blinks two times maybe I'm Lucky as well and have the same problem. I'll check the the four pins and give you feedback. Thank you for the video!
good luck..
I have measured: pin 1: 12v Pin 2: 13v Pin 3: 0v (ground) Pin 4: 2.4v So my regulator is fine.. sadly..
