Could you make a video explaining what historical materialism is? I’m not a marxist and tho I don’t think i would agree with Marx on a lot i have enjoyed your videos for awhile now and what you said about how you use historical materialism as a default when explaining history makes me curious

Perennialism is extremely frustrating to me. I have infinitely more respect for people, who actually believe they have magical powers or in Christianity or whatever, than for perennialists. At least the former are to some degree honest about history and the actual contents of historical doctrines and the beliefs of people.
