You seem to have implemented the feature that made me quit the game when I failed to do it. We didn't have the station count train system, but I managed to use the train logic on how it choose train stations, to implement a dynamic outpost system, then the dev changed how train choose stations and broke my smart station system. Glad to see some kind of smart station is now possible again. Though you didn't show if you had dynamic outpost stations, so I go out drop a mining outpost and my core base know to start using it automatically, when it runs out the station disable it self and the trains start picking other outpost mining stations. So all I have to do is run around making outpost without changing anything. Having played Early Access, I'm unfortunately to worn out building the starter base over and over, to even get to the train stage. 2000+ hours does not make starting over fun anymore.

This is perhaps the best magnetic core Gauss rifle on CZcams that I have seen too date (July 4, 2024)

Maybe take the iron powder and put a slight food oil coating on it, then heat it in the oven to result in a carbon coating.

I found that there wasn't much difference between a back iron and Halbach array. The back iron very nearly doubles the effective magnet height. For relatively short magnets that does almost the same as a Halbach array. For taller arrangements, the Halbach array may win (I didn't check). But the back iron has to touch the magnets. The main advantage of back iron is that the arrangement tends to more or less self assemble whereas Halbach arrays disassemble.

Nice methodology for the most part, but testing 2 magnets in standard vs 3 magnets in halbach doesn't really compare the configurations honestly imo.

Arrays of capacitor groups, charging while one discharged will increase your rate of fire.

suggestions to improve your parts number one warm your mold before casting, warm part a and part b separately you can use a microwave for this and an infrared thermometer remember the hotter it is the faster it will set. vacuum purge warm resin part a and B check temperature warm again if needed then mix your iron powder with part a before you mix the two parts together ideally you shouldn't need to use a solvent with urethane, viscosity can be adjusted with temperature, when mixing be carful not to get air in the resin, also when pouring your part slowly drizzle the resin down the side of the mold, the idea is to keep one stream of material flowing into the mold try not to stop and start again it needs to be poured all in one go.the part should be poured quickly so that the mold doesnt lose too much heat. then place the poured mold back in the oven for an hour (or longer) take out and demold the part and then reduce heat and place part back in the oven to keep warm overnight to cure. you will need to experiment with temperatures and times as i have only used commercially available urethane and every type has different time and temperatures, oh yeh also using multiple different size of iron particulate will improve density. urethane will shrink slightly so be sure to allow for this. using this technique i have made parts stronger than steel and with zero air bubbles and even distribution of metallic powder oh yes making the molds out of a more flexable urethane works really well

Curious to see how your 2.0 version would look with your new improvements. Would also be excited to see a "handgun" type body style with some upcoming/current tech like mlcc capacitors and maybe power sources such as Li-S batteries and solid/semi-solid state batteries. Would be interested in commissioning you for a mock-up/design for a pistol or revolver-style gun that would fit a Bloodborne/dark fantasy aesthetic but in modern times.

Hello I would be interested in the mass and initial velocity of the projectile. How can this be anywhere near as effective as a crossbow or crossbow pistol? Also, I would watch an outdoor shooting range with it from 10, 15, 20 meters away. and what damage it does to multiple targets.
