Modern gyroplanes are much safer than the older ones. They are actually considered to be one of the safest aircraft ever made. Having said that, it's best to stick to low altitudes.

An ejector seat uses solid booster rockets to catapult the pilot away from the airplane. Once the pilot is clear, an automatic parachute is deployed. on some models the seat detaches automatically. The russian ejectors used on the Suchoi su 27 and the Mig 29 have additional telescoping stabilizer arms. there were also partly enclosed rescue modules on supersonic bomber planes of the 1960's e.g the Convair B 58 "Hustler" the XB 70 Valkyrie or the Lockheed SR 71 "Blackbird" recon plane.

I was wondering about that as well, I've never seen a civilian aircraft with an ejector seat, probably because more people would end up wedged in the ceiling of the hangar than actually bailing out during a mid-air emergency.

Firstly, you cant "eject" - there are no ejection seats - next of all This company has some fucking AWESOME innovations.. for example.suppose the motor just stops - there is no NEED to " eject"...the main rotors tilt angle will gently bring you down anyway. There is NO direct drive to the main rotor above you -the motor behind PUSHES you and the main rotor blades react by spinning. thus lifting you up. you cant flip one or go too far - design wont allow it. the main rotor is freewheeling.

maybe design variations. a seat may eject with a special design to throw you out instantly in emergency. it could be something to push you up then use a built in parachute. how does it work really? can real planes use a built-in parachute behind it to prevent crash landing? like fighters landing in a carrier
