    love the video, My 80 Datsun 720 king cab height is like a 1" or 2" lower on the driver side than the pass side. Is all i do is tighten up the driver side to bring it up some, or do I have to pull the bar off and move the spine a notch over a turn on driver side to go up a little? I want to bring up the driver side to match the passenger side height

      @guahangarage Před rokem

      Hoi! This is actually my cousins truck. He installed a 276 from Schneider Cams in San Diego and Doug Throley headers back then. You can reach him on Instagram @nismo.matt for more info. If money and state regulations are not an problem though, I’d suggest a 300 cam with the mechanical rocker arms from o&j performance. Once you do that, might need to upgrade fuel, tune, spark, etc. to run better. 93 hardbody was my first truck and I beat a bunch of Toyotas back then haha. To be fair I lost a few times to, mostly from other Nissans and Toyotas that were more set up than mine. Hope this helps.🤙🏽

    • @guahangarage
      @guahangarage Před rokem

      Hey @Roland Collins, Thank you for your comment. I did not have to loosen the transmission mounts. The way I did it in the video is everything I did from start to finish. You could if you want, but the way I work on my trucks are really just from my personal research, experience , and thoughts. I left the transmission Mount alone because all I needed to do is lift the engine high enough to clear the mounts to replace and install them. There’s pros and cons to all the different ways we get it done, but whatever works for you to get it done in a safe manner is kind of all that matters in my opinion. Hope this helps!🤙🏽

      Haha, I’d use impact sockets if you’d like to buy me some. You gotta do what you gotta do right? Some of us don’t have mommy and daddy to buy us things we need. In the end did it work? I drove the heck out of the truck and I don’t have any problems yet. I don’t ever claim that the way I do it is the only way, I just show how I do it to give others an example on one way to do it. You can start a channel and teach everyone why you’d use the different types of sockets. If not, then cool story bro! Commenting on CZcams instead of doing something about it. You definitely know what you’re doing. Thanks for watching and happy holidays!

    • @guahangarage
      @guahangarage Před 2 lety

      No, I did not have to anything for the size cam that I’m running. I heard of people running a 300 degree cam without having to do anything. I would of like to drop in a 300 degree but my carb is too small and I’m not planning to run this motor for long. I think you should be good as long as you don’t have a 500 lift. Might have to change springs and notch pistons, but that’s just my opinion. Hopefully someone that watches can drop a comment on their experience with a bigger cam than what I installed. Thank you for watching and the great question.

    You did okay it was kind of amusing for me I would have taken the tires off in the back so you're not laying underneath it never use a crescent wrench and I thought you were going to lower this truck you can take that extra block out take those extra leaf out just use the one main big one and your helper small spring that will get you your drop and as for the front you did it right except for you don't need to take it for a test drive just push up and down on the fenders on each side and see where it sits and if it's not where you want it readjust it the same way you were coming down or if it's too low go back up but you have to count each one of those bolt threads on both sides so they match I usually measure each side 1 in but you don't have to do that some trucks sit one and a half inch but it was a good how to video I like that yellow banana except it still sits way too high 😂😂 keep up the great videos I subscribed to you because I want to see what you do with your channel good luck buddy don't give up just keep plugging the videos out
