There's really no advantages anymore to get primes tbh. They are just a sharp now lol. This isn't 1982. Literally the only reason I originally had primes was because I thought only real filmmakers used primes lmao. That's until I used a solid zoom, Never went back. I don't even own a prime.

Literally just ordered these, I have the original rode ones but they are starting to be temperamental when turning on and off.

when you transitioned to senheiser to holyland, immediately it kinda broke my ear - I almost said "eww" but after some time, my ear adopted these. Not bad sound in this price point.

Thank you so much for this video. I got the Mark 1 for 699€ including a bag, lens and a memory card, which I thought was a decent deal. Shortly after that the mark 2 was available over here for around 1100€ without a lens or anything else. Considering the price difference, the features you described and me being a beginner, I guess the ZV-E10 (Mark 1) was the better choice :)

Any suggestions for dealing with long-form recording at 4k30 with overheating?

I went with the Neweer and the small rig top handle. My big reason was the DJI MIc 2 Sony adapter will not work with the small rig cage at all. Unfortunately none of the cages allow you to use the adapter with the top handle easily (but with the neweer I can rig it so the small rig nato rail extension will allow me to get them to both work together

Did you use a gimbal with this setup? I find it hard to keep steady. Also, since it's manual focus and you can't use catalyst browse to stabilize in post. How do you keep things in focus when moving?

Does the Tamron lens VC compete with the a6700's IBIS? There's a lot of mixed reviews on this stating that the VC can sometimes lead to weird jitters when shooting handheld with the a6700 (ibis on) Thank you!!

I was so eager for the mk2 to come out but was hoping the rumors of it being 800 for the body was true. Since it's $1k, I think it's close enough to the a6700 that I'm just going to get that instead. Oh well

I've been using the ZVE10 for 2 months now and when I saw the MK2 release I got buyers remorse. After seeing the price point, I agree that I wouldn't really consider that camera as I was already stretching for the $700.

The Mark 1 was my first camera. I learned a lot about photography with that camera. I currently use the sony A7CII. I am glad I started with the ZVE10

if I recording sony zv e10 with this atomos ninja v will it recorded in 10 bit 4.2.2 and prores?

I did say I'd absolutely grab the mkii if it had 4k60 10bit, but the price... It's close enough to the a6700 that I may just pick up one of them or keep stuffing the piggy bank for a fx30.

Hi Thomas, been a fan of your content for a while and not also that u have motivated me enough to build my cinema rig for my ZV E10, but with the mark 2 camera been out now . I’m very conflicted on judgement of having a mark 1, and I’m really trying on having to take advantage of making short films with as much as I can with the mark 1 of the zv e10, but I really need your view on it. is there hope? Is there a chance? And is it still worth having the ZV-E10 mark one and can still be use for different medium, keep up the great work and god bless you brother.

Yeah honestly. The camera is just Blehhh. Its if it was for "Video" they should have kept in the 4k 120 FPS. Only then it would have made sense to completely gimp the Photo specs i.e. no Mech Shutter. I know that 10 bit 4:2:2 is really good 4k 30 and 4k 60 with the 1.1x crop is useable. 4k 120 isn't a must have but if it was literally just for video. Im sure having it even if it overheats after 2 minutes would have brought more value. So yeah nope not for me. Especially for this price point. I would rather get the a6700.

For me, it's the perfect pair to the a6700. I asked around a lot and I've had very polarizing views, but overall, I like having one camera for clients and one for me. I plan on getting the M2 to start my youtube channel and vlog here and there, and keep the 6700 at home. Thoughts?

100% agree, especially on the price thing! I think if this is a “vlogger” or “content creator” camera, it should’ve had IBIS first and not 600m 10bit 422. It is really nice to have, but it is NOT the main attraction :) Great video, thanks!
