I take 10 min. to mill up a piece of Box Elder salvaged from a burn pile into 3 nice blanks for the lathe. Few tips and insight into the though process of figuring out the best possible yield while milling. Bandsaws are dangerous. You should take all precautions while using one. Yeah, I probably should do one with the skew, but it's not until recently that I have dedicate as much time to the skew over the spindle gouges.

Collect the shavings and use resin to bind it all back together
Aaron, we have done a few projects like that.. but most of my shavings (three or four bags a week) go to local farmers to use as animal bedding mostly. We make sure they never land in a landfill. Thanks for watching! :-)
