In this episode i explore a brand new island called Mussa spearfishing and diving with seals.
I have always wanted to explore this place and if by magic the sun came out to let me go for it . The island of Mussa is an island of the east coast of SHETLAND Scotland that is famous for its 2000 year old iron age BROCH , this is one of the most intact ones in the country and fair to say its hell of a impressive . The history it holds only makes you wonder who and how did they live here.
In the early season i chase every weather i can get to explore new spots to try in the fishy season as well as get my diving up to scratch ready for some fish hunting.
The history around this island is nothing less than awesome and being able to do what i love and experience it is a great feeling and i look forward to doing more .

LOL, Seals are so fun to dive with, but the fish nick off! (If you do get a fish, the buggers try and steal them from you as well 😉) Down my way, the seal is also the GWS favorite entrée, so they can kind of make us nervous! More good stuff. The fish will come (I say that like I have a clue 😂). Been out snorkelling for lobsters a handful of times. Spotted a fair few but all undersize. Too many pots on the East Lothian coast. Hey ho. 👍
Cheers mate , there in now just finding the tie to get out is the hard part . We have lots of lobster but so hard to find up here , maybe the deep kelp and big rocks . You will find the one eventually.

@@SoulsUntapped Thank you. Have been searching around and can't really find consumer thundercat in Denmark. Found a few thundercat for pro racing but they were too expensive.
They are great little boats , I love mine but they have there limits for people and weight ect , I think there are some made for consumers but not easy to find .
Great footage! Was up working in Shetland the week before last and was able to take the family. We went snorkelling on a similar day to yours weather-wise and the kids were loving it. Even had a seal poking around us too!

There’s a concrete ramp down to the beach at Hamnavoe, Eshaness, next to the pier. I’ve launched my inflatable from there to go to the Calders Geo cave. Cave leading into Hols o Scraada also a good dive. Y shaped cave connecting two geos to the Hols. I scuba dived it as there is no air in one of the tunnels.

Absolutely stunning! What a location!! How fishy are the waters? If that was Cornwall / Devon / North Wales that would be rammed with mullet and bass - I’m guessing it’s relatively barren?
Yeah mate it’s pretty baron well for fish life anyway , had a swim about for flattys but never seen anything. I have seen mullet once in a small bay in hight of summer couldn’t believe it

@@SoulsUntapped in that wind 200 odd is plenty far enough and if the shot isn’t on then it’s not on, it’s hard to walk away I know but shot placement is key. On a day with no wind then if your confident and capable then yes 400 is a shot that can be taken but always try and get in to 300 odd maximum because you have to walk there to get it after the shot anyway so what’s crawling in another few yards gonna harm👍
@@delhogg5380 you are right there which is why I didn’t shoot in that wind as in wasn’t confident at the range and wind and couldn’t get any closer . Jake felt comfortable so took the shot . And the deer went down . I’m not going to be arguing about all this as nothing will ever be perfect in everyone’s eyes.
