Sig Hansen meets King Harald V of Norway, speaks Norwegian (English subs)
I figured some people might want to watch Sig speak Norwegian with some English subs.
Sig is completely native, and speaks a distinct Rogaland dialect.

Many years ago, I was able to badly play the piano. This recording, which is otherwise just rotting away on my hard drive, is one of very few proofs. The sound quality is terrible, but I can't do anything about that now. The illustrations were all created by the artist Louis Moe, who created them for a Danish translation of Gesta Danorum. The titles of each included illustration are: 1: A King ...

Miriam Stein redet über ihre Kindheit, Bildung, Träume usw. Miriam Stein talks about her childhood, education, dreams, etc.
I can really hear her Swiss German accent here. It's not so pronounced in more recent interviews, which makes sense as she's lived in Berlin for many years now.
Stolt av du er norsk Sig
This is why us Sweeds love norway and its people..they are nice..friendly..funny..humble...honest...and straitforward....🇸🇪❤🤝🇧🇻
Miriam stein 😇
I fell in love with her
Thank you so much for the English subtitles ! :)
If I ever get to meet you sig Hanson it would be one of the special things in my life to shake your hand and say thank you for keeping the fisheries alive. You and your family are truly remarkable, and I wish you all the very best Amen.
just imagine being a simple fisherman and get to the moon...even putting voice to a cars pixar movie..
This Man's heart is in Norway... Awesome to see him so happy.
Just love him
Congratulations captain Sig were all.proud,
He speaks Norwegian! Not slavisk/german//italian!
Bilingual Norwegian English sounds weird.
who is this?
Miriam Stein is so beautiful !
Veldig morsomt å se Sig snakke norsk!
My grandparents and great grandparents are from Norway. I visited Norway about 4 years ago. A lot of water and a lot or ROCK. I hope your island is not all rock. I wanted to visit their birthplaces, etc, but I’m not sure it will be in my plans for the future. My dad spoke Norwegian, but had to learn English when he started school. He would not teach us Norwegian because it was too difficult to learn English. I’ll tell you this: I will not be in the same zip code as Ludefisk being cooked. We are avid fans of Deadliest Catch.
it is mainly rock...
I've been trying to learn Icelandic. I was surprised that I recognized a couple words. Maybe I am picking some of it up.
yeah Norwegian and Islandic is very similar o some words, I am norwegian and trying to learn icelandic as well. How you doing?
Alt for Norge 🇧🇻
Does he make other Norwegians proud.
Gotta love crazy Sig 😁😊
I’m American kings can blow me. Actually no they can’t even.
wow sig is such a proud Norwegian man. and i love the personality of how happy he was to meet the king of his country and when he spoke his native language he was so happy and so much different then the persona you see on the deadliest catch program
He kinda sounds like a drunk or very excited Rogalending (local slang for we who live in Rogaland). So if he only spoke Norwegian I would 100% think he was a fellow native.
@@MAX-gk5qf He's from Sandve, a dialect that you'd likely have to compare with Odda to find an equally "archaic" tonality. Outermost and innermost points of Haugalandet) Listen to "Lothepus" and you might understand what I'm getting at.
Such a pretty smile.
Meryem stein, chartotte
Han prater Norsk flytende
she is swiss version of Emma watson
austria* she comes from Vienna
@@TheKartoffel101 She's Austrian-Swiss I believe.
She is a Good Girl ...
so Beautiful !
I believe You. You are Right to Do so.
ja
One beautiful woman . B
Super norsk!
I tell you what. For someone who hasn't probably spoke his native tongue since childhood, he did really well. I hope his daughters have learnt their ancestral language to. Its important never to forget your roots or who your people are
Sig might be a little rusty, but he is (and always has been) an active speaker. Edgar and Sig actually speak Norwegian quite a lot. They were raised doing that. I know that, on the show, they always seem to use English, but that's because Deadliest Catch is an English-language production. There have been Norwegian shows with Sig and his family, so, I've seen and heard all of them speak Norwegian. Sig's wife also is fully Norwegian (not "just" Norwegian-American), and she speaks the same dialect as Sig. And their daughters speak Norwegian fluently. It's pretty charming I think.
It`s not their daughter`s ancestral language, because they were adopted. But yes, they speak fluent norsk.
@@PastaRulla oh I didn't know they're adopted
@@PastaRulla yes but adopted from Norway, didnt they?
@@Repps87 oh yeah, at least the youngest one. For the middle one I am not sure.
beautiful woman. i was touched by generation war.
Generation War moved me and few things get me me emotionally involved like that.
Ikr....me too
Sie ist so hübsch
It almost sounds like a mix of slav and Italian.
Its pure Norwegian.
sounds like northern dutch and german
her smile so attractive
She reminds me of Emma Watson
Emma Watson is crazy and ugly! Not much in common with this one!
