    That rifle looks really nice after you refinished it and cleaned it up. I don't have that model but I do have a B1 in .22 caliber. Mine is a bit rough too but it shoots well so I haven't done anything to it (except keep it lubed and screws tight). The front sight on mine is adjusted by tapping with a drift, and it works fine. But left and right adjustment is backwards from an adjustable rear sight. Tap the front sight left to shoot more to the right, and vice versa. I didn't realize that at first and was making the adjustment worse! Makes sense, I just wasn't thinking. Lol

    I have the B2, and that too shoots like a blunderbuss. The closest group I ever managed from twenty five yards was one in Canada and one in Tennessee. I did shoot 3, so I hope the iss is still functioning 😅 best wishes from the UK and keep up the good work .

      Mine shot pretty badly at first. It's best to completely take it apart, clean everything, re-grease everything, file the sear surfaces a little bit and grease them, and carefully tap that horribly curved trigger into a slightly flatter shape. Put it back together and it will shoot better (but still not great). Before tuning it, the groups were about 4" at 10 yards, terrible. After tuning, groups are about 1-1/2" at 10 yards, much better but still horrible compared to a higher quality gun. But, good enough for shooting at cans and bottles. Not enough power for anything else anyway.

    Interesting and rather strange nipple on the seal end of the piston any idea as to what purpose it serves, best I can come up with is that it helps center the piston seal , think I would grind it off and get Ian to make a seal without the nipple hole. This little gun has a great deal in common with the smaller diana junior airguns in fact many of the parts identical, it does make me wonder if there was a company out there making generic parts for several companies. Were these guns designed by on company and licensed out if so which company.

    these guns were manufactured by FEG in Hungary sadly now defuncted. They made several break barrels looking much the same but in different sizes and underlevers on the Lincoln Jefferies pattern. They were sold to the west through companies like Relum and Telly and I assume Marla but never heard of Marla, these companies were set up to sell luxury goods to the west in order to provide the soviet union with hard currency. Back in the seventies I had a parts list for the gun in this video and like all it's stable mates it was twin springed. the spring you found in yours is not original the parts list show both springs and two spring guides a slim internal spring that ran up the inside of the inner spring from the cylinder end plug the second guide ran between the two springs inside the piston and was of a top hat design.pressed or rolled from shim steel. All these FEG airguns were hard to cock. Interestingly I have never found an FEG with the twin spring guides as described in the parts diagram. if anyone out there has one set up like that I would be pleased to hear. FEG eventually made their guns easier to cock and cheaper to make by doing away with the articulated cocking link and replacing with a pressed steel single piece affair. Spare parts can be purchased from Protec supplies in Sussex England Vic and Phil are very decent blokes and are happy to post and exchange bits if you have ordered wrongly, they have a parts list on their web site but if you cant see what you are looking for a quick chat on the phone might turn up trumps.

    Millard Brothers [Milbro] were a Scots family business dealing in out door pursuits paraphernalia, every thing from tennis balls to bell tents, fishing gear and guns to bicycles.Stores run by family members opened in Ireland and various English and Scottish cities. From the earliest days Milbro and Diana were very tight business partners. And whilst I have no written evidence to support the theory I am convinced that the sale of Diana to milbro as war reparations was a fixed deal. My evidence being the fact that both the Brits and the Germans shared development of products right up to the early 1980's when the diana brand name returned to Germany and the Scottish factory closed it's doors.Of course the Webley and Scot mark three was the one prewar Diana gun that Millard Brothers did not produce in fact neither milbro or diana resumed construction of the prewar Lincoln Jefferies pattern air rifles but instead opted to introduce a new underlever the model 50.whilst still vaguely following the Lincoln pattern this was a classy fully stocked airgun and remained in production for many years going through several upgrades. to collect all the different versions in both calibers would constitute a good sized collection in it's own right.I have owned many of these rifles over the years. properly set up they are great bits of kit either for target shooting or small game. As for the model twenty seven I own several post world war one 27's though not the first airgun I shot it was the first airgun I spent any serious time with belonging to my school friend Doug we spent many a happy hour shooting cans and rats with it. In the thirties Diana gave the 27 a face lift more a complete redesign following Haenels lead with a half stock break barrel actioned gun but no thumb operated barrel latch instead going for what I believe to be the first true two stage trigger unit.a contentious statement as several other companies had tried their hands with limited success the best effort almost a cartridge affair fitted to the Lanes musketeer and produced by the Greener company patent number 9644 way ahead of its time. What ever the model 27 was produced in huge numbers and are a relatively easy gun to find in any of it's formats. The first patterns often turn up with attractive stocks in walnut or birch.must say I have a soft spot for them and there will always be a place for one in my favorites cabinet.Remember all you chaps out there making new seals or refurbing old ones Neats foot oil is the stuff to use, avoid mineral oils as they tend to burn and various seed oils tend to coagulate and become sticky. neats foot oil can be purchased at any good saddlers or horse supply shop.also remember if you have a lathe you can turn a seal out of boot sole leather clamp the leather between two small pieces of ply with a nut and bolt place in chuck and turn to the correct size, there are several methods to obtain the seals inner depression for the screw or bolt or indeed rivet. Also remember soaking leather in oil will cause it to swell enough to prevent insertion into the cylinder. one final thought never try to turn pre soaked leather in a lathe.

    I love the Black Ops Langley, it's so well made, good materials and it's very accurate. I modified mine a bit and gave it the look of a VSS Vintorez, even built a similar stock. To be honest, the trigger isn't good. You can adjust it with a screw but that doesn't make much difference. I hope I can find a replacement trigger that I can install. Does anyone know if there's a good trigger that I could install with a bit of tinkering? Mine has a good 11 joules of power out of the box.

      Yes, the part number is the same (G397-012), and it's pretty cheap, but the shipping will bounce the cost over $10 for me, as well as waiting a week for the mail. Or I can make one in half an hour and solve the problem. Besides, one of the points of the video is that it is possible to make bits that can be no longer available. For instance the seal in my Acro 1 has crumbled and I'll be making a new one because Shakespeare ain't in the airgun business no more.

    Guy at the local flea market used to sell those, actually a quite accurate Air gun if you get the 22 caliber, not super quality but good enough for rabbit hunting and plinking, the sights are like the sights on an SKS and so is the safety, maybe they used them for troop training, don't know, but it seemed like the twist rate of the rifling was fast for a pellet gun

      @canuckair Před 29 dny

      Yes, in Canada anything that goes over 500fps and generates at least 4.2 foot pounds requires a firearms license to buy or own. The foot pounds requirement is there so that something that shoots a styrofoam bead over 500 fps wouldn't qualify. But any and all BB and pellet rifles with proper metal projectiles would likely meet the power level, so the 500fps rule is usually all we worry about.

This way more of the blueing are preserved. I have not tried this method myself yet...

    love that airgun, the one i had back in the day came with the steel bolt but not a hammer and the shorter grip showing the metal. those seals, try washing it in alcohol or baristol and then relubing it, if that does not work , the part is stillavailable from crossman for the newer models . but you will end up spending as much as a new one costs a. suggest the 1322xl that comes stock with steel breach and rear sight. if you want such an airgun. personally , i am moving on to higher energy airguns. yes i did at one time make 200 feet accuracy with that pistol, but the energy is not what i would call usable for more than a squirrel. with a great headshot. i like the old ones that can be pumped more than 10 times, that one i had stopped filling the plenum at pump 26, haha but i would pump it to 35 pumps and shoot and have a second shot already in there when i cocked it;'s bolt. enjoy your hobby regardless.
