Popup Camper Cable and Pulley Repair....Part1
zhlédnutí 562Před 2 lety
the front portion of my popup was going up but i couldnt get it to level with the back end it was always a couple inches low. turns out the wet rotting floor was causing one of the pulleys to pull away and nor allowing the free movement of the cable. Thus i am repairing this area of the floor so i can reattached the pulley to the floor and allow the cable to move as it should.

    You did not show removing the bad bulb. Twisting with fingers is almost impossible. Can please send me a full video starting from removing old bulb and installing the new one. Once you have it on CZcams, email me. Or send the full video or link on email.

    Tip.. discard the spring. Thìs has no use actually. Lubricate the ring area with mild dish washing solution . Turn with flat head screw driver clockwise to secure.

    It looks great im doing something similar to you setup in Texas. I have an unground pool and plan on building enough of them to use the pool year round. im planning on adding electric shut off valves and thermal switches to turn off panels when to hot to not adding warm water.

    And a pool that size would need at least a 1 inch feed of hot water at a high flow rate to see any real difference in overall temp

    • @chadnn72
      @chadnn72 Před 2 lety

      Yeah it would be great on a smaller pool

  • @brynleysmith3510

    A pool that size with this set up if I did rough math might get an increase of 2degrees ever 6hrs of full sun on a baking hot 90degree day lol come people don't fall for the solar nonsense... so you really think governments would allow energy companies to become useless if same really worked good enough you would paying tax based on how many hours of sunlight you get PMSL do yourself a favour use a wood burning stove

    This would be the name of the FC: 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 1/2" ABS Dishwasher Wye. Just tried finding one, HA! This is a much better part than I could've hoped for, if only I can find one. I wonder if another one reversed and placed into the intake line and by using the venturi effect it should pull the water through the polypipe. Instead of like the first one that is pushing the water and then it would be running through the pump and adding to the heated water that flows straight out through the discharge outlet. Or just running the second reversed one after the valve should also work. Just making a secondary circle. Anyway just starting from scratch making a shopping list. Also I never thought of the timer turning on and off like that, cool. Looking for ideas, found some great ones here!

    Also I had considered using black water hose after I worked for a lady that had a garden with black water hose , it was a long run maybe a couple hundred feet, I used it to wash paint brushes, the water never cooled off it stayed very hot . Do you think the fact this water hose was made of thicker rubber gave it more retention of heat than maybe the pipe you are using.

    • @chadnn72
      @chadnn72 Před 2 lety

      True. I used about 500 feet of black tubing. Not to thick or it will kink up. I only used the pipe to connect to the various pool piping. Yeah it’s pretty hot in the hoses. It’s over 100 degree coming out

  • @linnhudson4908
    @linnhudson4908 Před 2 lety

    This is the video I've been looking for, I had theorized the flux compasator just as you have , I hadn't considered the name but indeed I agree. Question how hot does the pool get. My pool only ever gets to around 82°at it's hottest. I think 92° would be perfect. Thanks for sharing

    • @chadnn72
      @chadnn72 Před 2 lety

      My pool is above ground 18x36. It’s big. The system is great when the suns out in July and August. It needs the thermal blanket in the evenings to stay warm. It would work better if the pool was smaller. It gets to around 80 degrees during those months. Glad you enjoyed the video

    • @linnhudson4908
      @linnhudson4908 Před 2 lety

      80° is too cold, my pool is 20ft circle pool so maybe the system you have would work better on my pool than yours,I did notice your pool was larger than mine. My sister has a in ground pool with a black bottom it is perfect temp , but it cost 100 thousand.

    • @chadnn72
      @chadnn72 Před 2 lety

      @@linnhudson4908 yeah it probably would do better on a pool your size

  • @dominicm2175
    @dominicm2175 Před 2 lety

    You can likely eliminate the timer ( unless you are trying to save electricity). Letting it run continuously will still give you pretty same output as although the water will not be as hot it will be more volume yielding about the same temp increase in the pool. I’ve had pretty much the same system in place for over 10 years and I’ve tried every possible combination

    • @chadnn72
      @chadnn72 Před 2 lety

      Yeah maybe but i like to feel that hot water coming our every 20 mins

  • @caseyvillemodelrailroad3877

    Does the timer shut the pool pump off or what?

    • @chadnn72
      @chadnn72 Před 2 lety

      Yes. It all shuts down for 20 minutes or so to allow the water in the tubing to heat up then it comes back on

    Great video, I have a similar solar pad set up but my pump just doesn't seem to be strong enough to create any suction for my skimmer while pushing water thru my solar set up. Is it possible to put the T on the intake side (skimmer side) instead of the return to the pool like you have. If I add a T as the water comes out of the pool, could I introduce a second pump. Is it possible to have two pumps pulling from the same intake, and T'ed so one goes to a pump and thru the solar system, and the second pump pulls water from my skimmer, goes to my sand filer and back into the pool?

    • @chadnn72
      @chadnn72 Před 3 lety

      I think that would work. Its hard to visualize. That would be alot of piping in a small area with 2 pumps. Im not sure to be honest

      I used a flat screwdriver in one of the holes to twist it. Broke the side of the old bulb (do not care) but do not go too deep, for future ref. You cannot do it by hand.
