We weren't able to get the whole train. They stopped the head end at the yard office. We do see the signal getting knocked down.

My neighbor who was payroll supervisor at Norfolk Southern in Atlanta, GA recently lost her life to cancer. There were lots of her coworkers at funeral in Lithonia, GA. I looked up to her just because she worked for NS. 😢

So I’m watching the video, and a couple minutes into it my 16-month old granddaughter comes up to me. And the first train is coming into view, so I show her my phone and say look at the train! And to my surprise she stands there and watches it, and as it’s moving away she waves at it. Then you’ve chased it and it’s approaching, blowing its whistle, so I tell her here comes the train again. And she’s transfixed as comes into view blowing away. And again she waves bye at it as it goes on by. She watched the whole video with me, waiting for it to come and waving at it when it went by. Another generation of train lovers is born!

Nice catch on Sonic Hedgehog 🦔 unit,black/red horse 🐴 mane design on those GE AC44C6M rebuilds, nice idea about Shoestrings tag,if You wouldn't get in trouble with NS I would say maybe try spraying acrylic clear cote paint over it to protect the original tag,hope Your doing well!🛤🚂

Hi EastTnRailRay, I'd prefer if you kept the Shoestring tag fresh. Shoestring was an amazing guy who had an amazing knowledge of the railroad. One of his best attributes was his storytelling. RIP

@lorettashepherd. I used to go to Rock Ln often, but since Shoestrings passing I don't go there as often. That is where I first met Shoestring. It's okay to shed tears for our friend.
I really miss Shoestring and every time i see trains going by i expect to see him hiding up in a grainer or looking out of a boxcar and it's just not same anymore R.I.P.
