Got my Mad Cats ps2 controller from a Target lol. Was the little one. The right joystick started moving on its own a couple years after I got it but it wasn't enough to make me toss it. Grew up playing on that PS2 wheel too, and yeah nah the handling has always been just awful. Used to yank that wheel so hard to try and get it to turn quicker.

That Panther mouse ball device was actually an amazing idea tho, its a shame they couldn't get it right, imagine a controller device that would give you K&M controls on any console FPS game, that would bring the FPS genre to a whole new level for console gamers, why the hell hasn't any hardware developer gotten on that!?

The Mad Catz R.A.T. line of mice are quite nice if you want to customize a comfortable fit for your hand. There was one called the MMO7 that I still feel is the best mouse I have ever used. I like to have a lot of mouse buttons due to nerve damage in my left hand, and my god the MMO7 delivered in spades. The Swiftpoint Z is a great second best though.

yea that genesis controller was better than our oem controller, probably explains why i could never emulate sonic how we used to play it. totally forgot about that genesis controller, like a blast from the past seeing it again thanks. also had a gen1xbox controller that was better than the big ass old one but that wasnt very hard.. the clear madcats n64 controller was terrible, the one we had was even more huge than the normal one, bro that buttons were always like that on those turds

I honestly had many MadCats controllers that were actually good. Especially the PS2 ones.

I remember seeing all the novelty MadCatz stuff in the shops, thinking how cool it must be playing on them, but their products were too expensive for me. Being poor helped me to dodge a bullet.😂

It's a shame Spirit of Speed 1937 is such a bad game, because the concept idea is very interesting.

I actually do own one of the tiger electronic games. One of them for based on the TV show Mighty Max. I remember the music from that game and boy the music is like claws on a chalk board. I don't know where it is now but I'm glad to never find it. I used to play it when I was a kid in the early 2000s but since I got PC, Xbox, and so many other consoles I don't bother playing it anymore.

I wasn't expecting the Nokia N-Gage to be thrown in there. Stupid taco phone. In ~2006 I worked at a video game store, I think the weirdest 3rd party controllers I saw were the the double trigger gen 6 controller that was supposed to be marketed towards people playing FPS's and the weird "air conditioned" controller with fans to dry your sweaty hands. It was a truly bizarre time.

Stadia was basically dead on arrival... and largely due to Google's own presentations. When they announced a gaming streaming platform, the biggest concern was obviously... lag. And this is where the whole house of cards started falling. People analysed the living hell out of the footage - and official google presentations showed pretty damn noticeable lag... During the presentation running from the same exact location as the servers. Furthermore - the details were not amazing. Turns out plenty of games were not running on highest details even. And that was the selling point of the console - running the games like on top of the line hardware while not owning it. And finally - we have ownership concerns. Stadia wanted you to buy games one by one, like retail. On a very much experimental platform that was guaranteed not to run well. Many people simply saw this for what it really was - the test of "future" ultra DRM. You can't pirate the game you never run from your system, right?

They are good for the plastic buttons, when building portable consoles. That way no need to 3d print them or something.

i dont know the brand of generic nintendo64 controller that i got, but using the same one for hundreds of hours without any issues, identical to the original in quality, and design without the logo, its just great. and not to mention feel of the buttons, replacable analog sticks too

I remember I had a translucent blue wired Mad Catz PS2 controller back in I believe 2008. I had my PS2 on the floor and accidentally tripped over the controller cable therefore unplugging it, and a corner of the controller plug broke off with ease.
