Now i make non-meta designs as a builder with 20 short of 1.5k hours, but i do it cause im doing a factuon challenge. Basically, no armor, realiatic hulls/super structure realistic weapons (missles dont reload unless launcher is built specifically for it), nothing is designed to work alone well, carriers work as in real life, no heals, etc.

If you rotate one layer to be horizontal the airgap problem becomes virtually nonexistent

My first ship was GIANT CANNONS antimissile missiles shields. That was like 6 years ago. Sadly so many games come out its been just recently I got back into the game. I think everyones first ship should be uploaded.

But it's not a canoe!!! Quick thought, have you ever thought about doing a multiplayer adventure? Perhaps with lathrix and Gmod. I can only imagine what gold guilded, spike wielding, cram canoe you guys would create! Or perhaps go separate ways and the other two hunt down the host player to make sure they can't complete the challenge!

PAC are terrible I am finding out, however, the versatility is so cool and the programmablity its a lot of fun and growing on me.

Creator here, firstly want to say glad you like my stuff! Secondly I want to note that the Ancient Tide are more or less a custom faction with vehicles themed after Greek myth as well as animals from both real life and myths. To add onto this, to explain the Arcadia's name, it follows the naming convention of my aircraft which is Greek places, it's actually based on the Meganeura, my ships are named after heroes, aircraft after places, and land vehicles after monsters. Also I had no idea about the beam armor being better than blocks T~T.

Ah hell yea, I saw these a while ago and thought they looked amazing. Hats off to the creator :)

Nuke damage per range kinda caps at 2 nukes, so 1 nuke is underwhelming and 4 is a waste, from what i tested. You'll only want more than 2 if you're going for a cluster drop style or 3 against heavy armor. In the old days, the explosions range wasnt capped at 50m so people would go nuts with CRAMs. XD

just accentuates the massive difference between 1 big shot that can end a battle instantly, but if you miss you get no damage, and just reliable damage via volume. sure maybe the individual shots might not do a huge amount on their own, but when you hit like 50 of them its a lot. and it lets you miss some shots and still do damage. part of why miniguns are always insanely hard to balance and do good damage in this game, even if you miss half the shots it shoots SO MANY that it starts adding up.

How did you get that foam thing near the ship... and the torpedo bubble trail too? Is there a setting for this, or a mod?

To answer a couple of points on the video, it struggled against the scarlet dawn a little, however the timed frag can be used to hit behind a craft. Basically if you manually target the blocks on the back of the target the shells that go past will detonate behind and make nice holes in the target. (The nuclear torps are also powered by steam thrusters so they work in space with a little fiddling) As for the stronghold, I did encounter one, however it was at a much longer range and fought while broadsiding at 90 degrees, so was better able to deal damage. I also think I got a lucky hit on the torpedo launchers because they didn't do quite that much damage. And yes, the laser was basically duct taped on top as an afterthought, along with that ugly deck flare launcher on the back. Same goes for the placement of the ring shields, as I was reaching end of the adventure I realised I needed a little more durability so stuck them where they would fit 😅 Glad you had fun with it!

I spent all afternoon trying things to counter large missiles on my sattelight and.... only swarms of medium antimissiles worked. Will take this info and try again tomorrow. Really want a laser system avoid wasting materials on ammo.

Do you have a link or somewhere I can copy that breadboard from? I too desire to build nice helicopters but PID and propulsion is sometimes a real pain to work with.

Why are people almost always using advanced cannon on their historical replicas, and not CRAMs? Real WWI and WWII naval cannons have high gauge, slow reload, and make a big boom.
