What are your rules for these conversions on the tabletop
Everything is played under imperial guard codex, this will be a bombast cannon / field ordnance battery 🙂
@@SwampRatMiniatures thank great stuff man
Ahh, perfection my son! The algorithm has blessed everyone with your video.
Papa rat I’m glad to hear from you!!
Prrfkt för turnip28
Definitely! Thinking of starting a little Turnip army after the fun I had with this build actually
I think a great investment for you would be Typhus Corrosion for your metals. I personally put it on after my primer and then paint over it with a colour so the thing looks ancient and worn and like the goblins just covered in thick paint not caring how it looked underneath, really add to the dinge
Yeah great shout actually I want my metals to look a lot more textured and corroded for this army, so I’ll have to pick some up, thanks for watching!
@@SwampRatMiniatures happy to help man. Keep up the good work! :)
Great painting ✨✨
Thank you my man glad you like!
I absolutely love this conversion!! Mounting the firepower to the snail looks perfectly swampy! ❤😊❤
Thank you Cerise, thought it might be a bit strange at first but it seemed to work well 😁 hope you and Tabasco are well!!
@@SwampRatMiniatures you are a very welcome 🤗 We are really well. Hope you are as well 😊
The shell looks so good! And the whole conversion is genius! ("mon" makes it a Digimon though)
Thank you my dude appreciate it!! Hehe I know it 😉
This is absolutely awesome! Always happy when i see a new video pop up from my friendly neighbourhood swamprat!
Heeeeell yeah, thank you my dude, appreciate you watching as always!
This is a really creative build. I especially like the paint job on the snail thing. Stuff like the little dude on the stick can look different depending on which angle you view the whole miniature from so it's hard to decide. Having him up front means he can help out if the cannon isn't firing by looking straight down the barrel to see why. That makes sense.
Yeah agreed dude, I think he looks better from some angles than others but in the head-canon it makes more sense up front, plus I love the idea of him getting pulverised when the cannon goes off beside him 😄
oh that's brilliant
Thank you my man! First of many more swampy ones to come!
ok you may remember my comment about a supermutant kitbash. good new. the kitbash is done. bad news, i paint like a supermutant.
I do remember indeed my man! Hahaha well it’s all good practice, I’m sure it looks awesome and the next one will be even better
@@SwampRatMiniatures well I did just spend around 200 pounds on a gellerpox infected kitbash. I'm hoping it goes as good as a i picture
@@the-dripbine oooooh, that sounds sick, good luck with it dude I’d love to see some pics once done!
I love it! It looks very organic!!! (And, is that flytrap incredibly busty?!?) 😆
Hahah I’m glad you noticed that too 😄 never seen such a thicc plant before
Ooo...I had an idea (and it smelled funny); I think your snail-tank...gun-slug...artille-snail...the thing what you painted... 😋 ...needs to be followed by a dung beetle rolling a ball of artillery shells. As for the smell behind my ears...thank you for asking! It is a bit like blue cheese mixed with a fish-monger's underpants.
That is actually a great idea I love that, gonna see if I can find any suitable minis to kitbash for it 😁 and me too my man, its not a good smell but I also can’t get enough of it
@@SwampRatMiniatures Doo eeet! Doo eeet gnow!!! Considering how close ears are to noses, you'd think that you'd be able smell something as pungent as ear crack goo.
Just a question, is it meant to be a group of grots/orks ysing imperial guard gear? Or is it mutated humans who greatly resemble grots using a old shipment of pdf supplies?
It’s grots/orks/gretchin/goblins/whatever other kind of green bois, who are salvaging old imperial guard gear from their swamp planet, and forming their own makeshift battalion (so they’ll play under imperial guard rules etc)😁 I’ll be adding some more swampy creatures to the ranks over time but for now it’s only the greenies!
@@SwampRatMiniatures thats so funny that the orks are going to war pretending to be umies and acting like no one can tell
I saw the thumbnail and I SCULPTED MY OWN!
Did it look like your mumma
super WEIRD indeed, this is key goods
This one, ficken WICKED!!! you can use a blush on gloss varnish on just the snail body to give it that slick swampy wet look. If your thinking of vehicles maybe toad riders or giant mosquitoes for flying units or a giant snapping turtle for a mobile base of sorts. Behind my ears smells🤔🤨....sweaty 😶its been a long day and I should probably wash behind them to avoid nurgle rot 😆
Yeah great idea actually I’ve got some, so might give him a bit of a slimy sheen! Toads will need to be included for sure and I saw something similar to a mosquito, some kind of flying nurgle units that I wanna kitbash so you’re definitely onto something good! Hahaha, there’s worse smells to find back there at least 😄
Love the cadian snot troops
Hell yeah, my favourite little green bois!
A metal slug, indeed! The colour scheme on the shell is very good! I think the branch in the front improve the dynamism of the model: the nurgling seems to follow steering movement of the slug. Keep going!
Thank you my man, glad you like it! And glad to hear about the nurgling actually I was starting to doubt it but it’s growing on me now, cheers Leif!
Ah my favourite swamp dwelling denizen!! As ever looks brilliant buddy. Definitely can see your painting and modelling skills growing with each video. Top work
Biscbob my boy! Thank you dude, I feel that actually I’ve been looking back on some of my older creations now and see how far they’ve come, hopefully gonna get even better over time! Appreciate you my dude hope you’re well
But it's not wk40k, it's Turnip28!
It does have a very Turnip look to it actually, I’ve been meaning to start a Turnip army for a while now so maybe it’s time!
This looks awesome like the use if purple in your minis
Thank you my dude, love a bit of purple!
You could make the ork trampla squig into a tank
Pretty good idea actually, added to the list 😉
I really dig the shell
Thank you! Good to add something with a slightly different colour scheme into the army
Making your own minis from scratch and hitting 6000 subs! You're going strong brother!
Hell yeah thank you Steven my man! Much more to come!
🔥🤘❤️
Hell yeeeeeah!
Really awesome sculpting!!! You have gotten really good!! ❤😊❤
Woooo thank you Cerise, still got a long way to go I think but definitely getting better over time 😁
@@SwampRatMiniatures you are welcome 🤗 Major progress already!!!
Wonderful creation my son! The majesty of the creatures you have brought into this world is unmatched.
Hahaha thank you for your continued support and gracious words my father, none of this would have been possible without you bringing me into this swampy world
Awesome 🥰🥰
Thank you my friend!
Looks good! Between this and the recent trench videos from Eric's hobby workshop to give a nice bit of texture variety. Thanks!
Hell yeah, hope it will be of good use to you!
Absolutely gorgeous little green fella. Nice work man!
Thank you dude, glad you like him!!
The 3D stuff isn’t really sculpting. It’s simply designing. The printer does the sculpting. That’s why I’m so glad that someone still has the cojones to actually post a video where he sculpts a mini by hand, from scratch. Kudos to you Sir!!!
Completely agree, 3D designing/printing is great, but for me making something by hand is way more satisfying, so I’m glad you enjoyed!
amazing sculpting work!
Thank you my man, good to hear from you!
Absolutely amazing build love your videos
Hell yeah, I love your Purple-Lizardness
That turned out fantastic!!! I've been mulling over whether or not to sculpt a 1/35 scale ground squirrel for a diorama I've been working on. Great video as always!!!
Ahh man that sounds like a fun little sculpt actually, definitely give it a go, good luck!
Always enjoy your work, but today's offering has a special brand of extra irreverence that I'm really digging.
Hahaha I’m glad you think so, appreciate you my man!
you need to take submissions for a name, really nice work
I know, just after I posted this I realised I hadn’t asked for name suggestions in the vid 😫 what do you thinks a good one for him?
@@SwampRatMiniatures He looks very much like a Stubgob to me Stubgob Ratspeaker, if you ever read or watched Harry Potter and remember the elf Kreacher that the personality I picture Stubgob to have 😁 preferring the company of rats to other goblins
@@Kiddarri1729 love it, Stubgob he shall be! And now that you say it I do see a strong resemblance to creature in the facial expression, that elf used to creep me out when I was younger 😄
@@SwampRatMiniatures any plans on making more?
@@Kiddarri1729 definitely, not sure when but there will be more gobbos to come!
Nicely done sir!
Thank you kindly my man, appreciate you!
Top work swamp rat!! My favourite channel by far now, looking forward to seeing your up coming work. Keep it up
Thank you master Biscbob, glad you think so! Much more to come in the future my boy so stay tuned!
As always a great sculpt! I love the spots of red and purple on (and around) the little big fella! This reminds me two videos about trolls made by Atbel some times ago: check it out, if you don't know the channel. As always, Keep going!
Thank you Leif, glad to hear from you my friend! I’d not heard of that channel before but just watched the troll mother video and really enjoyed it, his is better than mine though 😁
@@SwampRatMiniatures that video is amazing; Atbel is very good but I'm sure enough he started to sculpt many winters ago: you create a lovely minis in a very small time (and with different material).
@@leiferickson5602 very true! I love his style though so glad to have someone new to watch also
You are getting really good at sculpting! Not that you were bad before...just more refined now. Have you experimented making miniatures with extra firm polymer clay or flexible clay like Cosclay? Greenis... heh, heh...
Thank you my dude, definitely come a long way so far, and have a long way to go still 😁 No I’ve been meaning too though, it’d be good to experiment a bit actually so stay tuned! Hehehe greenis, hope you’re doing good though!
Love how this video pops into my feed when I'm thinking about sculpting a miniature! Bless the algorithm lmao. Very informative and enjoyable video!
Must be your government installed brain chip picking up on something 😉 thanks for watching though dude glad you liked it!
you had me at Goblins. awesome that you did some hand sculpting.
Gotta love those little green boiz! Thanks for watching dude
So lovely 😍😍
Thank you my friend!
Where are the Orks?
Nothing to see here!
really cool
Dioramas are the best warhammer scale!
Hell yeah, agreed!
Love Fallout 👍
Me too, probably my favourite game series, hope you’re good dude!
👍
Thanks for watching as always Spartan!
Eh, I don't think one would/should paint all on the sprue but I often prime the whole sprue and in case of terrain sometimes do some basic drybrushing already. Fixing the cutout damage is super fast after assembly.
Interesting, I can see it working well for terrain to be fair as a lot of the rougher edges would get covered up when you slot the pieces together
