I subbed to your incredible channel, sub back? you horse has great strides and lining to the jumps xxxx
You nor anyone else see's what he does after the competition. He does reward the horses.
There are many factors in treating heartburn at home. One plan I discovered which succeeds in merging these is the Amirykal Heartburn Remedies (check it out on google) without a doubt the no.1 plan that I've seen. Check out all the unbelievable info .
fantasctic, congratulations
Why do they see things like that??:-/
I have to put together a kur to preform in July, any music suggestions?
yung beef
Hence why they get spooked at people eho move to fast around them. They cant see who you are.
Cool slieshow but Please change the music.
Very true! That's actually the way it is meant to be ridden -- he was slow and collected coming in, but you can see he had tons of power built up underneath him in his horse's hind end to be able to get over every fence. :)
what? thats crazy!
That just goes to show you how amazing horse riders are we NEVER give up!!!!
Hi, my name is Andrew Hoy, and I make Burghley look like mini hunter.
AUSIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD
Just rewatched the video, and I'm going to correct myself in my last comment, He doesn't praise the horse at all after jumping the 2.06 meters upright. He just keeps cantering it, and slows him down. Don't get me wrong though, I'mm a big fan of his ;)
I'm investigating treating heartburn at home and discovered a fantastic resource at Amirykal heartburn remedies (google it if you're interested)
I do think Nick Skelton is an amazing rider and he has acheived so much, but he hardly ever seems too pat his horses or give them any sort of praise. I am a big fan of his, don't get me wrong, but I just think that the horse deserves more praise than he gives it. For example after jumping a very difficult treble ending with a 2.06m upright, he hardly praises the horse at all, if he does. Whereas the other competitors all patted their horses after clearing it or even having a pole. My opinion ;)
@westerntherider....i think its believed that the horse will breath better ..just like how sometimes athletes wear them...horses do too
ugh i hate these fanvids where people put cheesy played out songs to a montage of pictures...we want to see the video! that's what youtube's for! ugh.
no no no
yeah he is :)
interesting......
Is Russel in a hackamore?? I love Nick Skelton he's incredible!
I am so stupid I think I just clicked on the video and didn't read the title cos I was counting the number of jumps and was like WOW SIX?!?! Then I read the title and was like WWOOOOOWWW:)
I love the riders faces! Everyone is so focused and INTENSE! @ 2:11 nice panda
Cross country horses and riders are seriously badass. Respect
@xXTrickStar22Xx no they werent
the facials are pretty cool!
after about 10 minutes he still wanted to walk off, but instead, he stood stock still looking at whatever he was wanting to walk over to. LOOSE REIN i may add, since im an english rider lol! but he knew it just wouldnt be worth his while anyway! its a great tool to use as long as the handler / rider has a good understanding of pressure/ release and cue/ response/ consequence. like most training tools its a matter of timing, feel and competence. im a convert!!!
thought id leave a little comment. im over in england. i produce show horses and ponies, we have a rising 4 year old that went to his first ridden show at the weekend. although his ridden work and conformation should have ade him win the class, his manners in the line up were rather appauling! so a little research on the internet and i come accross this video. the whole concept sounded logical and humane. so the pony had his first 'standing still' schooling today...
I ride at the CCI* level, and hope to go to the Olympics one day. I can understand why people who don't event would be skeptical, but the horses truly do love it. The reason you see so many falls and refusals on the videos is those are the parts people want to see - these courses are 30 to 32 numbered obstacles usually, most of which are single fences to be ridden in stride at a gallop, or a little slower. There's usually 3 to 4 really tough combos on a course, and those get the TV coverage.
thnx
The horses a super fit and rarely hurt themselves.
Thanks for the info! :)
I was there, fantastic event, I was strapping for Dale Flynn, and was out on showjumping setting up, picking up dropped poles, and helping the french horsemen ;)
@cecilia200879 Why? Most horses I know love cross country. It can put you off if all you see is on the internet though- the ugly jumps do get more "press" then the nice ones lol I may be a little biased though, being an eventer and all
lol the announcers are my favourite!
Well tbh its not exsactly the nicest thing rodeo. and corss country horses die in so i dont see how the horse is still laughing. Not trying to be horrid x
He is such a good rider!!
I would seriously love to have guts like that!
guts?
Where did you get the western clips? :)
on the indiviual medels in third it was mary king and call again cavalier not kristina cook and miners frolic!!
hahahahahaha it's leopaldo!!! i've built for him!
@nickiboydy606 r some snobby english? hell yes! but ive met just as many bitchy western riders! so y dont u check YOUR damn research and quit commenting on videos that u know nothing abou
@nickiboydy606 actually i DO have an education, and i grew up in a western barn and a lot of the barrel horses had to get hock injections and were retired at 4 yrs. old. so dont tell me to check my research. and im also not defensive! jesus all im sayting is that u cant lump together the people discipline! do i know that ther
@nickiboydy606 excuse me???? im pretty sure all ponyclubbers arent snobby and YES some of us r cruel to our horses, but sure as hell not all of us!!! i take good care of my horse and if u want to lump a bunch of completely different riders into one category then i can sure as hell say that western riders are some of the WORST riders ive ever seen! and also wat discipline retired ther horses at age four and give them hock injections??!! i think u need to shut ur fucking mouth.
I'm wondering if they use poling when training these horses
it starts from the very begining the stand is the reward. if you buy a horse broke and it wont stand to mount/ dis mount etc you will never really get it out of them. horses broke by stupid people are a waste of time
Russel is such a wonderful horse and clearly loves his job :)
Lol he's been riding forever! 3 gold medals for 3 day eventing in a row! Lol even in the 2000 3 day photo he looks kinda old i'm surprised he's still into it in 2006.
Lovely to use to prove to someone that warmbloods can jump :D
