My problem is that I love art deco and rustic. Is it possible to combine those two. Uughh

Im not sure why some women can do the over edited, scripted voice over and some can't. But when they can't, its annoying.

Two days ago I randomly thought about my mom’s set of dishes that she had when I was growing up. Last night I came across a set of 4 on a Canadian resellers Instagram & today your video featured a huge collection! I wondered how I could find them again for my mom & lo & behold, you showed the tag for “Arcoroc Octime” mugs. THANK YOU! Although I am in Seattle too, I doubt that these dishes are still available at that location.

can i ask why the individual boards vs the paneling?? im doing a bathroom and was going with the paneling sheets cut in half.

I know this is a video from a number of years ago .. but you asked so .. here is my two francs worth. Both in Europe and Argentina [BA is called the Paris of SA] they also use herringbone wood floors .. which I prefer. It is sort of the transition style between the butt ends of "plank" flooring and the more angular ends the "chevron" floors. Also the interweave effect is somewhat more appealing to my eye. And as with chevron floors, the length of the board [pattern] can be used to influence the perceived scale of the room.

Sorry to contradict you, but Mid Century Modern Style originated in Europe between 1920 and 1930 no U.S.A. Also, most of the designers that were part of that era came from there.

I've got to tell you I am totally in love with art deco! I have a room full of art Deco paintings a couple vases - and even cubist mixed in with industrial style. That is my jam.

Love the curtain before/afters!

The previous homeowners wrecked the ceilings in our home in the kitchen, dining and living room. They were popcorn to begin with. They took down square light fixtures from 1961, and replaced them with round ceiling fans. Their patchwork was beyond lousy. They didn’t even try to make it look decent. There was a long crack from a useless beam that we took down, a large hole in the kitchen ceiling that wasn’t patched…🤦‍♀️ So, I had the idea-yes, I was proud that it was my idea, to just cover it all up with beadboard and firring strips. It looks amazing! It was a lot of work, but far easier and more beautiful than scraping, patching, repainting… We’ve now just sold our house. The ceilings were a wonderful selling feature! 👍🏼🥳

Man I’d just be thrilled if mine came off in one whole tile 🤦🏼‍♀️ mines just breaking off in pieces. They used actual mortar to put the tiles up. It’s from 1920, so I’m pretty sure thin set wasn’t a thing back then. I’ve been at it for days.

Love how creative you are and the little details you put into it. I just had a few questions, did you have to follow any guidelines or did you have to ask for any special permission to do all that? I ask because for our school we have to follow the guidelines they give us we really can’t paint our walls or have to have certain products from certain stores to avoid liability. And if you had those restricts what is your advise to still be able to be creative? I really want to change my classroom up but I’m faced with that challenge.

Thanks for your tips! As you know, store bought draperies are not always the length they claim to be. How do you compensate/adjust for this without having puddles on the floor? I'm talking about fabric, not my tears!

after 3 days of search on internet, Ikea, local stores and all documentations ... I found your video and you know what it thes best on internet with all this information <3 thanks for making such video ❤ and btw your smile is so beautiful 😍💫 subscribed :) Need one suggestion - I am thinking of using curtain track system from ikea mounted on ceiling, double layer curtains, outmost white linen and second layer is sand color linen sheer. Would you recommend this combination or I should choose dual rod mounted on wall instead ? also if I should go for rod .. would black looks better than white rod .. with white curtains ?
