What was amazing was the 575a-3 that could push 30% more than these a-2's. You can tell them apart as the a-3 does not have a ripper, just a huge counter weight.

Wtf? Who wants to stand around all outdoors playing with a damn remote control.? What the hell? I've never heard or seen this before? 99.9% operators want to be in the air conditioning cab listen to the radio not standing outside of the cab wtf ?
These machines were working over the top of incompletely (or even not at all) mapped underground mine workings dating back to 1908 or earlier - there was a significant danger of the machines falling into the old workings without any warning. In NZ we like to go home at the end of our work day, not to the hospital or morgue. That's wtf.

Remote control sucks. Part of the operation is. The operator feels and hears what the machine is doing. And adjust continually.
The electronics are all cosy in the Aircon, meanwhile the operator stands in the heat or cold sucking fumes and dust , progress 🤓😂😂
