Stop developers from building such densely spaced homes if you want to reduce the number of HOAs. Dense building practices necessitate detention ponds which need to be maintained by the HOA. Cities let developers build densely spaced homes but then mandate that the roads be private roads (not public) which means the HOA has to maintain and repave them. Houses that are 8 feet apart need an HOA to keep neighbors from doing all sorts of things that could adversely impact their neighbors yards and houses. Lots of people like neighborhood golf courses, pickleball or tennis courts, swimming pools, etc. and that is infrastructure that really needs an HOA to maintain it.

I don’t like 55 and older community . I like children in our community. It’s a healthy community . A natural community. We all need .

I lived there for 30 years . The main issues were COVID and the Governor. The reckless over bidding on real estate,and the Governor mouthing off about the state. I hope the creeps that paid 3 times the real price for homes are satisfied.

I started watching this video and almost immediately started laughing because you’re so right on. I actually live in a 62+ apartment building. I’m under a lease but I can move when I want. The first thing I noticed about the social community is that it is exactly like high school. In fact I told my friend that one day shortly after I moved in. I love my apartment but I don’t love the community. Thankfully I’m on the third floor in the corner and it’s quiet up here.
