“Fender secure” is a nautical term referring to the proper and secure placement of fenders on a boat or ship. Fenders are protective devices, usually made of rubber or foam, positioned between the vessel and a dock or another vessel to prevent damage from impact or abrasion.
When a sailor says “fender secure,” it means that the fenders are correctly positioned and fastened, ensuring that the boat or ship is protected from any potential contact that could cause damage while docking, mooring, or alongside another vessel. Properly securing fenders involves adjusting their height, placement, and how they are tied to the boat to provide optimal protection.

    The problem is that the Pads themselves are more expensive then buying the combo making this not more cost effective. 12 Mats are $15 where 30 with canisters are $39 so roughly the same but you get the fuel too.

    • @iCodeSwitch
      @iCodeSwitch Před 16 dny

      Do you have and use a thermocell? I ask because I always have so many blue pads left over when my butane is gone (for a number of reasons that I could explain if you're interested 😂) So if you don't already have one, you might be surprised how much faster the butane goes than the blue pads, making the ability to refill still cost effective and helpful to extend the time between buying refills.

    Hi , thank you for your video, but a correction on your information, the logo ventilation ( the one you said it’s tricky ) is the same pattern, forward is open , meaning if you close it , it will vent air.

  • @xseal053
    @xseal053 Před 3 měsíci

    You have the top vents backwards, you push them back to open, forward (towards the facedshield) to close, same as the logo vent. See pg. 8 www.araihelmet.eu/storage/uploads/blocks/834/block_1/1/tour-x5-manual.pdf

    Do you have a suggestion to clean out the channel under the breath guard? mine definitely needs to be deodorized. I've put warm water through it per manufacturer's instructions but it's still kind of smelly.

    • @BenNorway
      @BenNorway Před 3 měsíci

      Immerse shouldn’t be a problem so I am guessing odor killing stuff that doesn’t harm the helmet. "Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) is an alkaline substance, and when it comes into contact with acidic odors, it reacts to neutralize them. This chemical reaction between the baking soda and the acid neutralizes or produces a less odorous compound. The change in pH helps eliminate the smell."
