Hello, Parking is free at Sullivan’s Island and there is plenty of street side parking. We go fairly often and have never not found a spot to park eventually; it definitely helps if you are willing/able to walk a bit. You may have to drive down a few streets to find an available spot as it is a popular beach in the area. We usually find a spot in between the beach and Poe’s Tavern, a typical walk for us is about 10 minutes from where we have found parking to Poe’s Tavern. We usually park, eat, and then go walk on the beach for a while so definitely no issue being there for several hours. The beach itself is probably our favorite in Charleston, it’s generally calmer than Folly and feels very natural.

@@Roamingwiththerichards Hi. Thank you for the many details. We greatly appreciate it. One more question, if we may. Is the beach at Station 22 a good one to go to? Or is there a more desirable beach? We live on the West Coast (CA) and have never been to a beach on the Atlantic. We do not plan to go into the water, nor to swim. Mainly just want to SEE the views, the dunes, the coastline, the ocean. Possibly walk up and down the sand. When we go to beaches in California, we go to more remote beaches, and use the time to go for a walk, maybe a few hundred yards up one direction, and turnaround and go back. Beyond just looking, that might be something that we would do. Might be nice to find beach chairs, and sit for a while (not sure if there are benches, or chairs for rent)? Thanks again.

⁠yes, the beach around station 22 or the nearby access points would be a good location to enter. Really most of the beach access points off Sullivan’s Island are great spots. You can walk for quite a while along the beach and you can definitely bring your own chairs with you. As far as I know they don’t have chairs for rent. Isle of Palms also has very nice beach access - you just have to pay for parking (not too expensive, and they have easier designated parking lots for visitors than Sullivan’s Island does) We’ve been by Folly beach but never actually stopped there because it seems a bit more busy/like a party than IOP or Sullivan’s Island.

The ride looks scary at first, but very smooth and fun to ride. Definitely recommend trying it at least once.

Can’t wait for this event, we already got our tickets for opening night!

They use them to further along the story during Ghost Train. This train ride they were showing that it was not only the 4th of July, but also the parks birthday.
