Hi, this is a 4 cylinder, but this Trail edition has a towing capacity of 3500 pounds. Some day I plan on getting a small trailer for a boat, but for now it's just there as a recovery point if I ever needed it as there are no tow hooks on this model. Thanks for watching and the kind words!

I think you’re right on the anti-sieze. I saw another video where a guy tried to remove the wind deflector from the crossbar and the nuts were all rusted and seized. Also thanks for the kind words. I still have the Prinsu rack on my Tacoma for 10+ years with no issue but it was easy bolt on from outside, never needed to open up the inside liner. I like this rack so much that I had to install it on my 23 Rav4 as well and looks great with 40 inch amber light bar(I know, to each their own). BUT I agree with you, it's something that I don't ever want to do it again on a Rav4. It's ridiculously time consuming for simply roof rack install. Btw, this installer took few unnessary steps(no need to drill a hole or pull out weather strippings, etc.) so made it look extra daunting.

​@@Jet_FinderYes, I ordered one with a cutout. Again the 40" single row lightbar sure do look nice and very well functional. You can hide the wiring under the side windshield weather strip or buy "car wire hider" for clean install. I used wire hider since I have more than one light up there. Prinsu sells the cutout front deflector for $136 but I would try to cut it myself, I think someone did that and has video on youtube, not sure. Oh and you can mount it on the top but I think it's too high and won't look clean. But then, to each their own.

I did that more to clean the threads not as a lube. I checked after 2 months and they were still tight. Thanks

Hi. Try supporting at both ends or ask for help. I put in 1 passenger bolt first just enough to hold it up and then went to the driver side. It does take some wiggling around but eventually it will go in. Screw on the bolts just a little to hold it then when they are all started you can tighten them down.

Yes I saw another video and they removed the tow hook. Your hitch will become the new tow hook

This video is taken from my 2022. There are recalls for 2021 and prior but none for 2022 forward. Like the video shows there were I think 4 holes in each rail that used plastic clips eliminated from previous years. Hope this helps.

Hi, it's supposed to turn on and off if there is or is not vibration in the car from driving. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't for me. No big deal because the solar charger works fine and I've never had the batteries drain on this unit. Thanks for watching!

One question…how did you get wire thru the side of the grommet? Did you use a certain tool to feed it thru?

Hi. I just pulled back the grommet slightly on one side and forced the wire through and then pushed the grommet back into position as much as possible. It’s a tight space to work with but be patient. There is also a circular insulation cutout on the inside of the car covering the grommet which I forgot to mention but that pops in and out easily. Yes holes in a roof are never good. I will keep this thread updated as to if I see any leaks develop. I hope the RTV Silicone keeps it water tight. I have seen others use rubber plugs in the holes with silicone. Thanks for watching the video.

You don't need to drill holes by not using included plus nuts. Use washers and lock nuts instead. No issue at all. Mine is with 40 inch light bar, which IMO looks lot better than this one. Lol.

I’ve have some up for over a year now and they have never fallen off. Best part is that they don’t leave a mark if you take them down.
