Hey! I'm RecordBreaker. I make all sorts of stuff here, nowadays it's mostly gameplay and music content. Uploads are sporadic but I should be uploading monthly at least. Egg Fortress, Act 1: Earliest Beta (Sonic Superstars)
A very interesting find, this song was found only among the files of the earlier builds released to venues before the final game released. It appears to be an earlier Jun Senoue demo/beta song for Egg Fortress Act 1. It seems to be quite poorly mixed, which was fixed in later revisions once TOREINA began arrangements.

got the plugins vacuum and xpand!2, which are used in sonic 4 episode 2 and superstars. here is a song made with just instruments from them (plus drums and oil ocean bass) the name is a reference to the fact that i only make a good song once in a blue moon

Sonic 2 - Sand Shower Zone (Custom Song)

Another sonic 2 thing, this one is based off of Oil Ocean (as sand shower was originally meant to use oil ocean's theme). I'm really happy with this one, it fits the Sonic 2 style really well! The art is from Stealth/The Taxman, added back into an actual rom and recorded straight from the game (with a cool ripple effect), so credit to them for making the art.

Back with more music, but this one is a little... different. I made a genesis style song! I think it turned out extremely well, even though it doesn't fit Nakamura's style very well. As for the art, it was my first time using Aseprite and pretty much doing full scale pixel art in the first place, and that turned out wonderful as well. If you're wondering why I didn't use the "Metropolis reskin"...

How do I load the scrapped maps into the demo? I downloaded them but couldn't load.
@@hiccupbro666 if you look through the comments here you can find another person asking for the "betaquest.bat" file, and in the replies i put the code used to load all the wads. copy that into a .bat file and put it in the same folder as your demo 2 installation

Yeah, I'm not sure. Ultimate mode still exists to this day but the other difficulties are just... gone. I suppose replayability is served with addons nowadays

My headcanon for sand shower and dust hill are: - The one looking like a new world desert like in this video would be called Dust Hill and out of all tracks it would use Aquatic Ruin for its music (Reason why is because of the good bad ugly wild west motif at the start, as well as the overall music having a flamenco or salsa style which may have represented mexico as it also an element and role in the American west) - There would be another desert zone that would be called Sand Shower and that would use Oil Ocean for its music Just my headcanon inspired from all the original S2 concepts
