THANK YOU!!! So many problems with Snyder’s MOS. The neck snap, Jonathan saying “maybe”, Clark trashing that bully’s truck, etc. I just got a bad feeling this new film coming out next year is gonna be total garbage.

I love that moment in All Star Superman where Lex gains his powers. Then he starts to see the world the way his enemy does. Sees how everything is connected. Then the power fades and Lex panics “I finally understand! I could have saved the world!” Superman “You’re a billionaire. If you cared, you could have saved it a long time ago.”

This Superman, is hope. An alien who truly is the peak of humanity's potential.

its so bad that i cant even say im a Snyder fan anymore without thinking ill be stoned online, but do you not remember in BvS when Clark was disheartened, the first thing he did was call his mother. If that isnt human, idk what is. Theres a lot more stuff like that that i cant remember off the top of my head, but from my POV, man of steel was the movie that made me realise that superman is NOT boring. Just how i disagree with your opinion on one thing but agree with another, i hope other people can learn to do so as well Edit: i remember hearing in an interview that why henry's superman wasnt the smiling boy scout version of superman yet is because he's still learning, he isnt supposed to be the prime superman yet, these movies were his origin stories Great video though

I used to think superman was boring and uninteresting but then randomly I got into the character and if you look deep in it he’s really interesting

Look i like the evil or corrupted Superman trope (Injustice, Onmi and Homelander) but if you can pull off that pure heart OP Supes and still make him interesting and releateable, YOU DID SOMETHING RIGHT

Lex did that in a comic or a cartoon. He tooka serum that gave him CLARK'S powers and he ws amazed and wa full of amazment. His hatred washed away. good story.

who doesn't love Superman. but we need to be careful. there is a 'superman' coming, but unfortunately he will be the Antichrist who will be capable of incredible feats. this will happen just before the return of the true Superman, Jesus Christ. the brilliant scientist Sir Isaac Newton spent decades calculating when Jesus will return. in the end Newton chose the year 2060 as the earliest likely date. we just need to be careful not to dream about Superman to the point where we will fall prey to the lies of the future Antichrist. Superman also pushes the possible lie of 'space' travel and 'aliens'. in reality we (may) actually be living on a plane beneath a very high and impenetrable dome. outside of which is not 'space' but water. the possible lie of 'space' travel may be part of The Great Deception.

I totally agree with everything you said. I would just like to say that we should make space for different interpretations of the same story. Snyder's Superman came from a world broken beyond repair hence his vision of total annihilation of that world. Although it would have been interesting to watch Cavill play a Core Superman.

Superman is a man who cares more about the person next to him more than himself, no matter who they are, simply because he could see the beauty and true value of life, and wonders a life could accomplish, all because he was raised by love and care. He may struggle, he may feels tired, but at the end of the day, he'll still keep believing in the good of humans, and keep on doing his best to protect, love and inspire them. This quality is what makes Superman the greatest superhero in the history. Not because of his superpowers. But because of his humanity.

The dcu being dark and edgy is why I have never liked it, but the cartoons and comics all retained that fantasy feel of which I love.

I have to say something like this actually gives me hope not just in humanity like one of those star man edits but also in comics. It’s a simple, anthology comic done almost entirely in red and blue and seems to keep to simple almost cozy stories. It’s a work of artistic and writing skill that seems to get buried under the unending event comics, 41 flavors of new gritty Batman (tm), and the latest excuse for hero’s to fight each other instead of crime.

guardians is probably the strongest franchise the MCU has

I just realized. The Man of Steel movie could have been very different if they actually made Superman/Clark's character right, not making him "unique" by making him dark and edgy. I didn't realize this until many years later, as I used to like that movie. The DCEU could have been very different than ours, maybe even more beloved as the MCU at the time, if they made Superman in the Man of Steel movie be like Superman we knew and love.

Being a superman fan your take on this is very wrong and makes no sense......you didn't fall in love with the character but the ideology ..an ideology of non violence totally ignoring any circumstances.......Saying Zacks superman made you not like the character is such an understatement... The superman you're talking about is far away from reality and only encompasses a perfect world where you can talk a robber out....and a world that doesn't have any of Superman's nemesis .... You said you didn't want superman to snap zods neck...what other choice did he have in that situation?? None..... Man of steel is a great movie and it did a good job portraying kal-el and his life as a farmboy who's hides his identity to protect the world......and yeah.. the panel of superman saying iloveyou while looking down on earth is truly magnificent...zacks superman said it as well ..... Sacrificing himself saying thisismyworld
